A/N: My first FanFiction! This was inspired by a conversation I had with my brother when we were discussing Mirror Universe Spock.
All was normal on the bridge. Kirk was starring into space (literally), Chekov was telling Sulu the glories of Russia, and McCoy was having an argument with Spock; no surprises there.
"That's highly illogical, Doctor."
"Illogical my ass! You wouldn't know real logic if it slapped you across the face!"
"Careful Bones," piped in Uhura from her communications station. "You don't want Spock remembering things like that when he becomes supreme leader of the universe."
That comment caused more than just Spock to raise an eyebrow as the entirety of the bridge turned to face her.
"I'm going to become leader of the universe?" Spock asked, voicing the thoughts of the staff and trying not to sound as utterly confused as he was.
Uhura looked up from her station realizing that she was going to have to explain.
"Oh, come on, can't you see it? Giant statues of him overlooking his marching armies," she grinned as she lowered her voice. "Resistance is highly illogical."
The bridge was silent for about half a second, working out the image in their minds, before it exploded with laughter. Chekov and Sulu rolled on the ground and Kirk pretended not to laugh, causing short, articulated chuckles that would have been enough to start everyone's laughter in the first place.
Spock failed to see the humor.
"I cannot find the humor in the statements that the Lieutenant has made," he managed to say through the ominous giggling that continued throughout the bridge, seeing as it refused to remain silent.
"Of course, Mr. Spock, you wouldn't," Kirk said through the smile he was failing to hide.
Needless to say, for the rest of the day, everyone couldn't help but giggle when the saw the Vulcan. Murmurs of the phrase "Resistance is highly illogical" followed him wherever he went. You might suspect that this annoyed Mr. Spock, but, if you heard the next argument he had with Dr. McCoy, all that remained of that feeling would be erased.
"Are you out of your Vulcan mind!?"
"Careful, Doctor. You'll never know what I'll remember when I become supreme leader of the universe."
Mirror Universe
"You there! Fetch me a glass of Romulan Ale!"
The servant quickly agreed before he scampered away, afraid of what would happen if he was a second over the time the supreme leader of the universe thought was too late. Outside, he was met with a Giant statue of the leader in question looming overhead as his armies marched, chanting: "Resistance is highly illogical. Resistance is highly illogical…"
A/N: There you have it! My very first fanfiction.
