She wasn't sure what would kill her more; the memory or the loss.

x-x-x

And so he willed.

And so she would do.

Whatever he wanted, whatever he desired. Whatever made his amazing smile flash across his face. The smile that didn't belong to her, but to the redheaded girl who he wanted. The one who made her smile.

And so, she never made her smile, no; it was simply the thought of her that brought that beauty to something already so dazzling.

She only wished that he could continue living in the life with the memories that the two had made together, the life where breathing was possible whenever he was around.

The life where he loved her.

But what was that, nothing but a fake, as he said, for he had never loved her; their time together was nothing but time well-wasted and time that should have been spent on the other girl.

She was a nobody, no doubt, and now she wasn't sure if she had the right to feel this massive black hole that ripped through her tiny, gentle body, where he heart should be. If she were to have one. Is that why he didn't love her? Did he think that she couldn't love?

If she couldn't love, then what did she feel towards him?

And what did he choose but to be devoid of the memories with the quieter girl, to be emmersed in a life with Kairi. And what did she chose but to spend hours upon hours wondering just what Kairi had that she didn't, what made him turn to her instead after all of those lovely times spent hand-in-hand.

Fake. Just like her.

And so he willed it.

And so she would do.

She hummed to herself as she did, humming songs he'd sing to her under stars or basking in sunlight. She hummed them softly, feeling their memories that they shared together drift away sadly, effortlessly. And she hummed the words that he said to her, the words that lit her heart on fire, that made her feel like the most beautiful thing in the world. The words that had no end in the lingering silence, the silence that was all they ever needed.

And as she hummed his words, the thought crossed her mind that maybe she didn't have to do this; maybe she could just erase Kairi from memory for all it was worth, for all of eternity.

But would she ever see his smile again?

Because...could she love?

With whatever sanity and collectiveness the black hole left over in her body, she worked with the tears that ran warmly down her face.

Because he would forget.

And yet, what was there to forget?

And so he willed it.

And so she would do.
