"Okay, I'm just going to give you a local anesthetic and stitch up that cut. You'll feel a little sting." The young resident bit the tip of his tongue in concentration as he slid the needle under the skin.

"OW!" cried Dean, "Holy shit—that hurts worse than the damn cut."

"You're lucky—another quarter of an inch and you'd have serious damage to your eye. How'd you say this happened again?"

"Oh, you know—me and my brother were horsin' around. Ran into the corner of a doorjamb." Translation—we got tossed around again by a vengeful spirit, doc.
