Joshua was Joshua; that would not change, regardless of whatever presents and proxies would come under his dexterous fingers in a semblance of life. He could hear music coming from the city around him- like static, garbled, a mixed radio signal. Messy, he decided, on the edge of that building, looking down to grey pavement far beneath him.
These thoughts accompanied him on the roof of the tallest building in Shibuya; of course, at that time he was little more than a fifteen year old boy just looking for a way out.
"Ain't you a little young to have worries, kiddo?" A voice said from behind him. Joshua did not turn, but surveyed the city beneath him.
"I've made up my mind. I don't fear death," He said, voice unwavering.
"Now now, life and death… those are things that people fear for no reason at all."
His face was set. "I don't fear death." He repeated. The voice laughed, and just sounded of almost-fatherly warmth.
"… You're gonna be disappointed, then, when you find out what waits beneath that pavement." The voice said simply, and Yoshiya Kiryuu could almost hear the shrug in it's- his- tone. "Maybe you'll stick around long enough for FM Radio, eh?"
"Don't give me that farce." Joshua said simply, taking a step into nothing and regretting nothing as he hit the pavement face-first. An angel, suspended only by ethereal wings, hovered over where the boy fell to his death, shaking his head.
"Seems we've got ourselves a Player," He mused, cocking an eyebrow and lazily moving down to the ground, where mass chaos was erupting amongst the masses due to a boy –hefellfromthesky,theSKY- and his not-so-untimely death. "Maybe he'll actually get somewhere in our little game."
