Author's Note: I should be writing a management plan… Instead, I wrote this. Just a little one-shot that popped into my head and I decided to write it out. I'd really appreciate it if you'd read, and review. Thanks so much!

He looked into her eyes, knowing that he saw his forever staring back. He had never been able to look at a woman the way he looked at her. It was as if by looking into her eyes, he could see into her soul. And he knew that whether or not she would admit it, she felt the same way.

Without thinking, he reached out tentatively and let his hand touch her soft skin. She was a precious porcelain doll, and he feared that his touch would break her. The gaze that had not been broken suddenly ended as she closed her eyes and leaned into his touch.

He slowly moved towards her lips. Fear struck him, and he stopped short. She was his partner, his confidant, his best friend. If there was even the slightest chance that by kissing her he would loose that, he would hold back. He needed her in his life, even if it was just as a friend, not a lover

She slowly opened her eyes, softly gasping at his close proximity. She did not back up though, but kept looking deep into his eyes. They stayed like this for the longest time, both looking into the eyes of love.

His second hand, which had been dangling at his side, slowly came to rest on her hip. She sighed at the feel of his touch, and moved a hand to his arm, feeling his muscles beneath her finger tips. Her free hand came to rest on his face, and she felt the stubble created from the absence of a shave.

They stood this way, looking into each other's eyes. Finally, the silence was broken as he spoke.

"Temperance…"

She moved her finger to rest on his lips, silencing him in the process. Each knew that it was now or never. The choice had to be made, whether to erase the line drawn so long ago, or move away from each other. But neither moved, each relishing in their closeness.

Time passed as they stood in each others arms. If it was physically possible, each could feel the love radiating from their hearts. He knew it was time to take the leap of faith he had been afraid of taking for some time.

She could see the need in his eyes, pleading with her to give him a sign; anything to let him know that she would not run away from him and from them. She nodded slowly, letting him know that she would never run from him.

Each moved forward ever so slowly, anticipating the feel of the other's lips. He allowed his lips to brush past hers lightly, before pulling back. Her eyes were closed, her lips slightly parted. This, he knew, was how he was meant to spend the rest of his life, right here in her arms, loving her. He kissed her again, this time his passion bursting through as he ran his tongue across her lips, begging to taste her.

The kiss was incredible, and each knew there was no turning back.

They would work together to catch murderers… They would bicker and fight… They would spend their days together as partners, their nights as lovers. But in between all this, they would be Booth and Brennan, Seeley and Temperance. They would just be together, working on forever.
