What's Pink, Green, and Spiky?

A Dramione Drabble

.

Lounging around, in the Slytherin common of all places, in her baggy, maroon sweatpants, Hermione Granger has sucking on a bright pink lollypop (one of the Weasley twins' new inventions, Everlasting Sour Pops, guaranteed never to stop making you pucker). She indeed had a purpose, though; she was waiting for her boyfriend to come out of his dorm and show her his costume he had worked so passionately on for Blaise's costume party. Her newest friend, and her boyfriend's best friend, Blaise Zabini had decided that if he was going to have a party that was against the rules, than Merlin, it was going to be a costume party.

And sadly, the theme was fruit.

Draco Malfoy came out of his dorm and practically skipped down the stairs because he was so excited with his costume. Thinking of what to dress up had been the hardest part for him, but once he thought of this amazing fruit, there was no way he could dress up as a boring pear or peach.

"Draco, darling," His girlfriend, the infamous know-it-all, the Princess of Gryffindor started slowly, "Why are you pink and green, and spiky?"

The Prince of her opposing house scoffed, "I'm a dragon fruit, of course."

Hermione was shocked silly for a moment or two, but her silence was soon replaced with her laughter as she practically rolled around at her ridiculous boyfriend's outfit idea, "A dragon fruit, Draco? Why couldn't you have picked something normal like a pear or a peach?"

This was not the response he was looking for, "So you want me to be just like everyone else? No, Draco Malfoy is one of a kind, like no other! Everyone will be dressed as something so common as a pear or a peach. I am not common."

Trying to not laugh at her sadly, stubborn Draco, the Princess laughed, "But you're in a giant pink jumpsuit!"

At that point in time, Hermione Granger just couldn't take it anymore and laughed her way into hysteria as Draco Malfoy vowed no matter what she said, this is what he was wearing to the party, and that was final.

.

On the night of the party, Draco Malfoy was found leaning against the wall next to the Gryffindor portrait, waiting for his girlfriend to come out in her costume so they could head on over to the party. His pink and green costume was still as ridiculous as it was the day it was presented to Hermione.

Opening the portrait door gracefully, and wishing the lady inside the frame a good night, Hermione Grange smiled at her boyfriend and gave a little twirl, showing off her costume.

Draco took in the somewhat slinky, red cocktail dress, ruby red heels, and her green headband with a leaf coming out from it. Taking a look back at his costume, he blushed, "Alright, you win."

Be the time they had gotten to the Room of Requirement, where the party was to be taken place, Draco's outfit had changed to a green pair of shirt and slacks; he made a cute pear.

A/n.

I tease pears and peaches out of love, I swear. And if you haven't seen what a dragon fruit looks like, I would definitely Google images it; it's a sight to see! Hope this wasn't too predictable.

Oh, and if you didn't pick up on the end, Hermione is an apple, and Draco is a pear.
