In Tune

Sasuke Uchiha's head snapped up. Orochimaru and Kabuto glanced at him, silently questioning. Kabuto grew edgy as a slow smile spread over the Uchiha's face. The youngest stood, walking slowly out of the meeting room they were gathered in.

Orochimaru asked, "What is it, Sasuke?"

Sasuke glanced back, his Sharingan flaring wildly. "They are coming."

Naruto Uzumaki crouched low behind a bush, looking over at the squad he was with. Sakura Haruno crouched next to him, slightly behind him, hidden behind a tree was the Toad Sage Jaraiya and next to him the Konoha ANBU Operative Wolf.

The blonde boy then shared a look with his pink-haired teammate and smiled grimly. "He knows."

Sakura nodded.

Iruka Umino slid into the Hokage's office, carrying a stack of papers. He set them on the desk, glancing at the sixth Hokage of Konoha. She sat rigid, staring out the large window behind her.

The Chuunin hesitated. "...Tsunade-sama?"

"Yes, Iruka?"

"Why did you send an ANBU with them?"

"Because Sasuke will know they are coming."

Kabuto turned a questioning gaze on Orochimaru. "How does he know that?"

Wolf turned to Jaraiya, noticing he didn't disagree whatsoever. He shifted slightly, drawing the older man's attention. He paused and then asked, "How do they know that?"

Iruka stared. "How will he know?"

Orochimaru replied, "Because...They are-"

"-flawlessly-" Tsunade answered.

"-in tune with each other," responded Jaraiya.

"Get ready," Sakura said, pulling her glove higher onto her hand, watching Naruto intently.

"For a fight," said Naruto, "because-"

"I'm ready." Sasuke said.
