Boiling Point
It's short. Idea was come up with and written down in less than an hour because of my severe work/finals problem. 45% for the final test is freaking ridiculous, man...
This is dedicated to anyone that has ever been pushed past their limit. Also, to those who want to see Anzu as the heroine and not the damsel.
Takes place after the Memory Arc and before the Ceremonial Duel because I like the name "Atemu".
Disclaimer: No own!
"THAT'S IT!"
Puzzle still glowing from the mind switch, Atemu could only stare in shock as the thug went down, hard. Anzu was breathing heavily with a glare that looked frighteningly similar to Seto Kaiba's. She withdrew her leg slowly from the air.
"A-Anzu?" said Atemu feebly; Anzu ignored him in favour of the thugs.
"The next person that tries to use me against my friends," she hissed dangerously at the remaining two gang members, "will lose all capability of reproducing. Go run back to Hirutani and tell him to leave us the hell alone!"
They ran, followed by their companion who chased after them with a staggering limp. When Anzu turned on him, he inadvertently took a step back – her eyes were still smouldering.
"Wait – Anzu?! What are you –"
She crashed her lips against his fiercely and before he had fully registered what had happened, she had pulled away already; he was thankful that the fury in her eyes had somewhat lessened when she fixed her gaze back on him.
"Sorry Atemu, but God, you're so oblivious sometimes that I – I could just smack you! Now hurry up, I've got so much work that I still need to do – we have to finish this stupid project before my dance class and I'd rather die than let Yugi fail –"
And with that, she took off down the street to the Kame Game shop, leaving a completely baffled Atemu wondering what had just happened.
Hirutani is a manga villain. Anzu is an aspiring dancer – though she is not professional, I wager she has legs of steel. 'Nuff said.
