A Secret Love, No More
Chapter 6: Who
Bella was undoubtedly amused. Watching two men who lived and breathed elegance and aristocracy fight like school children would never get old.
Stephon and Vladimir were squabbling about the reason their fabled huntress had left. Bella herself knew the answer but that was due to Bell and Samia having known one another.
"How do you know Samia?" Carlisle asked the amused young woman who somehow pulled attention back to the topic at hand away from the snippy duo.
Bella flushed realizing she was at attention again but shrugged. "When you all left me, I went through a bit of manic depression. Going through dangerous stunts to cope with being left behind." Bella ignored the flinch from both Alice and Carlisle. "There was a time I was going to be attack by Victoria. She was being brash and just wanted to hurt me for the death of James. I was vulnerable and even if I had wanted to run there was no chance and no one who could help me." Bella shrugged noticing the growing morose mood settled into the room. "In the last second a woman dressed in the most brightly colored clothing I had ever seen jumped in the way. She attacked Victoria and sent her scampering off wounded. For a moment I thought she was a vampire, but she just didn't feel right."
Bella frowned looking around the quiet room. "She saved me and made me return home. Her presence made Billy and the blacks nervous. They were very diligent in ensuring I was protected from then on. Though I didn't notice because I was to sucked into my own self-pity." Bella shook her head and look back to the painting of the woman. "She visited me everyday almost like mist creeping into my room. She would talk to me and it was almost like she knew what was wrong. She said mate's true mate's have a hard time separated from one another." Carlisle stiffened remember the aching pain of being separated from Bella all those months ago.
"Then she kinda scolded me or told me stories till the day Alice called me to save Edward. We're friends, at least I would hope so. I talk to her often enough so long as she isn't on a hunt." Bella looked over a few shocked faces but just shrugged and tried to fight away the flush of embarrassment.
Vladimir had pulled away from his pouting clan's men Stephan. "Samia is what we in the older generations of vampire would call our nightmare. She is descended from a powerful group of hunters and huntresses, but she is the bridge between the more civilized groups. Hunters are the bridge between the human's shape shifters and Vampires. Many creeds of our kind have been adopted due to her kind's interface. We follow the rules and covens stay safe. Especially when they roam through Romania the home base for most hunters as we have few of the supernatural in this land." Vladimir looked to Bella and smiled. "Though I'm sure you know that by now."
Carlisle jolted and gasped "I remember the girl, or flashes of her when I first changed. I was delirious with hunger but she was a guiding had that led be away from the populace of humans it helped to fortify my thirst and rush into the forest to drink from a deer instead of a roaming human." His eyes had taken a light fade as if he was back in that moment. "My creator had turned me and left me like a bomb set to go off on unsuspecting humans. Though it is hard to forget the clashing colors of blood red and electric blue this woman seems to wear." Light came back into the honey gaze of the coven leader Carlisle.
"She should be due back in about a week I believe. Her time of rest is coming up." Stephan spoke shrugging away the attention. "If you want to meet vampires equivalent of savior and executioner just be patient." His laughed echoed after him as he left the room.
Bella looked eager at the prospect and Alice looked slightly wary. "That's why I can't see our future in a week. She's not Human or Vampire." Alice pouted.
"Well we should enjoy ourselves. Bella let's get you into bed." Rosaline said snickering at the pouting expression of Carlisle. "we can save our questions for later. Coming Alice?" The petite woman hopped up eagerly following after leaving behind a group of confused men.
Somehow it seemed that would become commonplace until their collected interest arrived at the Romanian coven.
It was going to be along week.
