From Tony's POV

Oh god… no it can't be…

"KAATTTEEE!"

I don't remember what happened after that, except darkness.

External POV

The pain in that cry caused Gibbs' and McGee's blood to run cold, they stood frozen as though their blood had turned to ice. And then they ran. As fast as they could towards the sounds coming from their colleague.

They followed so many twists and turns that they couldn't count, trusting on their legs and brains to take them where they needed to be. Gibbs, in front of McGee stopped suddenly, causing Tim to nearly crash into him. When McGee saw the scene in front of him, he despaired as well.

There on the ground in front of them was Kate's clothing, and Tony's badge and gun.

It was at this point that the smell of blood and death was overwhelming to the two men. Now, with two of their agents missing, the outcome of this rescue mission seemed bleak. They could only hope that Kate and Tony were together, to at least provide support to each other.

Tony woke alone. He just hoped that Kate was somewhere safe, and away from the man with the giant rabbit head and not in the room with him. At this point, Tony had no idea what this room was… even where this room was. He could only hope that someone had heard him scream and was currently trying to find him,

Kate also woke alone, although not as in the dark as Tony, but just as confused. Kate found herself in a well-lit, clean and surprisingly comfortable room, with a note from her captor. Kate paled as she read:

"Thanks to your… friends… you have been moved to a more secure facility. You will receive punishment for trying to leave me, my darling. My Caitlin. While it may seem that you have more freedom here, you are not to try to leave the house under any circumstances. I will know. I expect you to look after yourself, as you made a complete ruin of yourself while trying to leave me. You will find the necessary medical equipment in the bathroom. If you try and contact your beloved NCIS again, I will remove them from your life… Permanently."

She went to the bathroom, and indeed laying upon the counter was cream and bandages for her wrists as well as her ankles.

Having dressed her wounds, Kate explored her new prison, a small detached house, surprisingly with a well-stocked kitchen, whereupon she made herself a small amount of food. Not enough that it would be missed she thought... just in case I'm not meant to be eating it.

Unsure of what to do, Kate returned to the room she woke up in, curled up on the bed and tried to sleep.

After all, she couldn't escape if she wasn't rested.

Tony didn't know how long he'd been trapped there; minutes, hours, even days? All alone in the darkness, with that copper stench all around.
