A flash of light, a wince, a snigger and a shout of glee.

"PADFOOT!" Remus continued to blink his eyes, trying to get rid of the remaining lights. "Stop flashing that camera at me every five seconds!"

"Aww Moony! You're the one who gave me the Muggle contraption in the first place!"

"So you have to take billions of pictures of me and ONLY ME?!" Remus gestured wildly at the Polaroids surrounding them. It did actually seem as though there were billions of them.

James sniggered a second time. "Listen mate, it was a mistake to invite the both of us over. And then you had to go and introduce this loony over here to some new Muggle technology."

"Aren't you supposed to be the smart one?" Sirius joked.

James chuckled and Remus slapped Sirius' arm. "Wanker."

At that moment, a tawny owl tapped the window of Remus' bedroom. It held a Howler.

They opened the window as quickly as possible, but the letter exploded the second they did.

"JAMES HAROLD POTTER!"

"Harold?" Sirius sniggered. "Orion?" James retorted.

"YOU WERE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT DOING YOUR CHORES!"

"You said you finished them Prongs!" Remus exclaimed, aghast. "Oh shut it," James reddened.

"IF YOU DO NOT FLOO HOME THIS INSTANT, YOU WILL BE IN MORE TROUBLE THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE!"

"I think you should go home," Sirius said seriously. (Pun so intended.)

"All right, I can see when I'm not wanted," James put his hand to his brow dramatically. "I shall be gone now, off into the cold, cold world."

"It's bloody winter. And you like the cold." Remus laughed at Sirius' antics. And in mid-laugh, the light went off again, and Remus let out a low growl.

"All right boys, I'm off," James laughed.

"You either take this thing with you," Remus growled, indicating Sirius (who protested at the name), "or he won't be here when you get back."

"I think this thing will take his chances, thank you very much!" Sirius retorted indignantly.

James had already left.

Sirius felt suddenly giddy, though he didn't know why just yet. He decided to go and look at the pictures he'd taken while Remus started reading (which Sirius got a picture of).

He noticed something he had noticed, but always ignored before. His friend's lips were… beautiful.

"Oi, Moony."

"Mmm?"

"Do you know you've got gorgeous lips?"

"What?" Remus' head snapped dup.

"Your. Lips. Are. Positively. Gorgeous," he said, slowly and clearly.

"Uhm…?" Sirius suddenly realized his mistake. Too bad he didn't know how to take it back.

Remus sat up properly on his bed and looked at Sirius. It was a long silent moment.

"Thank you." The younger boy's eyes shone amber after finally speaking.

He got down onto the floor next to Sirius, and nervously and uncertainly, leaned his head on his friend's shoulder.

"I… uh, I really, really like you Pads."

And it dawned on Sirius. "I really, really like you too, Moony."

And Remus continued being his adorable self, and Sirius kept being giddy and happy. And now he knew why.

A/N: Definately ain't brilliant, but it's not a song-fic! Reviews make me happier than cameras! And I can give out hot cocoa! So review for free cocoa! :D

P.S: This is dedicated to Taylor, who doesn't mind me taking pictures of her every five seconds.
....... Well, not too much.
