Climbing up the knobby tree, the girl sought to escape. She climbed higher and higher, but she couldn't get high enough. The boys below her started pelting her with rocks and other objects. "Come down fatty, we know you're up there," the leader shouted. Just to be spiteful another boy said, "Don't know how she got up there with all that fat on her." The girl rocked herself and cried as the boys taunted her. Just let them go away, just make them go away, just GO AWAY, she thought to herself. With that last thought the wind started howling the tree started shaking and the girl calmed. She jumped off the bow – from seven feet off the ground – but as she reached the ground, her feet never touched it. Her frizzy red haired whipped around her face marked with dried tracks of tears. All the boys fled except for one who stood there dumbfounded as she approached. She walked up straight to the boy and passed out. When she awoke, she found she was alone. Great, she thought to herself, when they find out about this little scene, it'll be time to ship the unwanted relative to yet another obscure family member. She shuddered remembering Aunt Matilda and her 5 thousand cats. She sighed resignedly and walked back toward the house.
