Well, well, well. This one's for KP because of her awesomeness and all that :).

She holds back a scream

While she watches them toast

And she raises her glass

An ironic smile on her face

Why did it turn out like this?

Why did he get the happy ending?

And she ended up screwed over?

He watches from the table

In the center of the room

Admires her beauty

As she toasts away her happiness

He wishes he could help her

And there's nothing he can do

But watch and admire from a distance.

She runs out of the room

Holding back the vomit

She doesn't want to be here

But she owed it to her friends

To show her face after everything

After the disastrous last months

But all she wants to do is hide.

He sees her run out of the room

And feels compelled to run after her

Nate watches him watch her

And tells him to follow her

"You never know if she needs you."

He goes after her

Hoping she won't shut him out.

"Tess? It's me," she hears from outside

Part of her wants to scream, Go away

But she knows who it is

So she doesn't say anything

She just sits on the floor

Waiting for something to happen

Thought she doubts anything will.

He walks in and looks at her

She looks lonely and a little bit insane

Sitting on the floor with her make up running

Not as prim and proper as she always is

But he likes this Tess better

The real, raw, full-of-flaws Tess

The one no one ever gets to see.

She looks up at him in surprise

"Jason, what are you doing here?"

He shrugs and sits down next to her

And reaches into her purse for a Kleenex

Her eyes widen in shock but she giggles

He's never made much sense to her

But she appreciates what he's doing.

His stomach flutters nervously

And he resists the urge of shushing it

Not that it'd work or help at all

He watches her giggle cutely

And when a strand of loose hair falls

And covers those gorgeous blue eyes of hers

He pushes it back carefully.

She shivers at his touch

Which makes him look at her intensely

Or it feels that way to her

She doesn't think when she leans forward

And kisses him boldly

But luckily he kisses back

And she smiles into the kiss.

He thinks the kiss was bound to happen

And feels her smile against his lips

Just to think a minute ago things were different

And she was crying over Shane

But now she was with him

And he was happy about that

Because it's about time.
