Ring of Fire

Cristina moved out of the locker room and headed towards the elevator. Owen had asked her out to dinner. He was back, the man she wouldn't admit that she hadn't stop thinking about since her trached that guy with a pen and then just left. Okay she more specifically thought about his lips and how amazing they felt against hers.

Owen was pacing as he waited for Cristina outside the hospital. "Are you ok?" he looked a little uneasy. Oh god he was changing his mind. "Do you still want to do this?" she asked giving him a way to back out.

"I'm fine.. Do you still want to… if you don't we don't have to?"

"Do I not look ok?" she asked confused. It wasn't a slutty dress but her clothes were clean.

"No you look beautiful." He said finally properly checking her out.

"Then what's your problem?"

"Your friend. Blonde, a little crazy, yelled at me."

"What?" Cristina groaned. If Meredith was involved it couldn't be good.

"Meredith. I think that's her name she really didn't introduce herself. She threatened to hurt me if I did anything to hurt you. She mentioned an ex-fiancé."

"Oh no" She sat down on the bench, Meredith and her big mouth.

"She kind of made it sound like you were in love with the guy." When she didn't answer he started to worry. "So?"

"No" Cristina snapped. "I'm not in love with him anymore. He's out of the picture."

"You sure about that? She made it sound like you guys were meant to be together."

She didn't want to talk about this. "He left me at a church in a wedding dress. Then he sent his mother to pick up his stuff from our apartment. Then he won an award and took all the credit even though I helped. I don't even know where he lives. So me and him are not meant to be together."

"So just because you don't love him anymore doesn't mean your over him."

"I'm doing my best to move on. I moved out of his apartment and gave all his things to the Salvation Army." She turned to look at him. "Then there was this thing where I made out with this Army Sergeant Badass. And I was hoping when he took me out to dinner that at the end of the night he'd feel me up."

Smirking his right hand moved around to the back of her head, and his fingers entwined in her hair as he pulled her into a kiss. His lips were just as she remembered and she wasn't sure she wanted to stop kissing him.

She was finally moving on.

A/N: Just because I think Mer is totally going to be the one who tell Owen about Burke. Maybe not on their first date… but it's going to happen.
