"Light-kun, what are you doing?" L mumbled as he looked up to see Light above him on the bed. It was 9:00 a.m., and L wanted to sleep some more; he was up very late last night. But Light wanted to try something before he could allow L into another hibernation-like slumber.

"L… I'm just curious about this." Light began with a little smirk on his face. "Are you ticklish?"

"Hm? What's that mean?" L turned his head to the side in confusion.

Light was amazed. Had L's life been so full of law and work that he had never even been tickled before?

"You don't know what ticklish means?" Light repeated with surprise in his voice.

"I'm afraid not, Light-kun. Please elucidate." L's mind wondered of what it could mean. Was being ticklish a bad thing? A good thing? Was it a disease?

"Well…" Light was confused as to how to put all of it into words. "You could say it as… well, when someone lightly brushes their fingers across the skin and moves them around quickly, the nerves react by giving off an odd signal to the brain, which makes the victim laugh for some reason. It's not easy to put into words… I think it's best that I give you an example." L looked a bit scared at this statement.

"Does it hurt?" L asked timidly. "Is it unhealthy?"

"No, not at all." Light couldn't help but smile at L's adorable curiosity. "Now then…"

Light snaked his hand up L's shirt slowly, and brushed upon the perfect target, his soft, flat stomach. In a swift and cunning motion, he brought up both hands and tickled L's stomach, hoping for a reaction.

L was taken by surprise at the foreign feeling. It was a strange tingling sensation, but it felt so unique and it just excited laughter from him. He tried to dominate over Light by not laughing at all, but the sensation overcame him and he had broken from a giggle fit to laughing and begging Light to stop, but Light was having too much fun.

"Light-kun, q-quit it!" L continued to plead Light to stop through giggles.

"Not until you give up!" Light replied with an energetic and mischievous tone.

"F-fine, I g-give up!" L retorted with an odd mix of desperation and mirth in his voice. Light gave one last random titillation across L's slender midriff, brought his hands up and stopped, leaving L exhausted.

"Well, now you know what it's like." Light finally said, smiling at L.

"That was… interesting." L replied, trying to summarize the experience. "I actually had fun."

"Well, those were my intentions." Light grinned, kissing L on the cheek.

"Mm… can I go to sleep now?" L pleaded tiredly, yawning to give further emphasis of his fatigue. Light chuckled, and nodded.

"Yeah, we don't have anything to do today. Sleep good, Lawliet." Light said as he brushed L's wild hair lightly a few times.

"It'd be easier if you were with me, though…" L responded, giving Light an irresistibly cute imploring face. Light couldn't resist, and eventually climbed under the covers and snuggled up close to his detective. He protectively wrapped his arms around L, and in turn, L snuggled himself into Light's torso.

The two fell asleep together in mere minutes.
