End Game

Scene begins with rear view of the Impala. The camera angle rises, so that we can see Sam and Dean sitting on the hood, watching the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. There's still soft morning mist in the air, and in the distance, an eagle glides across the sky. The colors of dawn are rosy and pure.

"We finally made it," Sam says quietly. "Is it what you expected?"

Dean is silent. They're sitting shoulder to shoulder, and we can just make out their profiles, dark against the rising sun.

"Everything is going to be different, now." Dean says at last.

"We did what we had to do," Sam tells him.

"I know." His voice is rough.

"In the long run, it'll be worth it. Trust me."

"Always and forever, Sammy."

The camera swings around for one final look at the Winchester brothers as they watch the day break. Dean's eyes are black. Sam's eyes are yellow. Behind them, in the far distance, are a series of looming mushroom clouds. Fade out on Alice Cooper screaming "School's out--forever!".
