A/N; Holy shit… yes. Yes, you see it right! 10 years later and I've decided to continue updating this! Do people still read this after 10 years? Probably not. xD I probably lost 99% of the fanbase… But I've been promising people for a couple years now that I would make an attempt to update this story, and I just couldn't do it. I couldn't emotionally reengage with this fic. I wanted to so bad though. Re-reading was quite difficult, almost cringey and unbearable. But, I did it, and I feel ready to make the next step towards progress. I'm sorry to those whom I've disappointed. Those who wrote to me personally via email asking where the fuck I am… I do welcome hate-mail, rather encourage it, because I needed motivation. I love to write, and I'm sad I fell away from something I always deemed a passion. And then to those I've said I was releasing a surprise update to a few years ago. Better late than never though, right? Alright, let's end the Author's note. That's not why you're here. If my writing is rusty, I apologize in advance. Now, to the story…
Rating; We're changing the rating to M for maturity… The story will progressively get darker, so heads up for readings looking for lighter content.

Chapter 8; Experiment: Raging War
His voice whispered in her mind, "Come to me."
And she did.
S-Sasuke!
Black soulless eyes penetrated right through Sakura, holding her own green hues captive in his clutches. He didn't even have to verbally speak a command to her. His dark eyes held her in a terrifying trance, paralyzing her body, forcing her to stay immobilized against her will. She found herself unable to even so much as flinch. There was an uncomfortable tension between the two of them as not even one word was spoken, and their gazes never faltered.
Sakura stood there obviously guilty and red-handed. She watched as those dark eyes shifted to the sword in her hand. His sword. The length of time he stared at the weapon in her hand made her far more uneasy and uncomfortable. She would rather receive and earful and a harsh verbal reprimand than stand here in the most vexatious and awkward silence, and in front of the crudest man she's ever had the misfortune of meeting.
Damn Satoshi. Damn Sasuke. Damn everyone to the darkest pits of hell. She wanted out of Sasuke's room, and away from these men who constantly annoy her in what's supposed to be the solitary and quiet privacy of her own mind.
I can't move…
She tried so hard to move her body, urged her muscles to flinch, begged her brain to respond to her demands. Even a flick of her fingers just so she could feel some sense of power over herself. Yet, she could not be granted even the faintest of twinges.
Move Sakura!
She tried concentrating mentally, hoping to overthrow this control he had over her mind, over her body, and to try and find any ounce of strength to get the hell out of his room. She made a mental vow to herself that if she made it out, she was punching Satoshi through a brick wall. Over, and over, and over again.
Body… please! Move! She screamed at herself in sheer desperation. The distress she felt started causing the massive anxiety to suffocate her. She knew a long time ago that her old teammate, and old love was gone. He was now a man consumed by his red-hazing rage, and she feared he'd show her no mercy. For the first time, she actually admitted to herself that Sasuke Uchiha scared the hell out of her.
If I can concentrate really hard, I know I can overthrow Sas─
Enough, Sakura.
That was all it took. She felt his sharp command hit her mind instantly. No more did she attempt to fight her way out of his unbreakable grasp. Her body and mind submitted to him just as he commanded her to do so. She couldn't even dream of defying his will.
Sasuke's cold gaze continued to pierce her, with the intent to intimidate her. Haunting eyes that told a dark story, and visually suffered greatly. She watched as he finally moved, lazily shifting his body to move his legs to the ground, and sat on his bed so he can now directly face her. She completely had his undivided attention.
Satoshi, you idiot, say something. Surely you had anticipated this could happen and have a plan, right?
Sakura was undeniably desperate. She could only pray Satoshi wouldn't leave her in such an unfortunate circumstance. She fully expected him to come to her aid and assist her. This was after all his idea. However, the moment her mind sought to reach his, she felt the link between them flicker faintly, like a bad connection on a television. Keeping her mental connection with Satoshi started to become a strain, and each passing second was becoming more challenging than before.
Satoshi? Satoshi? Answer me. Do not leave me wi-
Before she could finish telepathically speaking, she watched Sasuke's cold eyes narrow dangerously; red-hot flames seeping out from the corner of each dark hue. Without warning, her body violently jerked back, throwing her viciously against the solid frame of Sasuke's door. As she forcefully made impact, her head was thrown up, and a loud, audible cry erupted from her throat. Sasuke's force was so powerful, it imprinted her frail body into the wooden frame from its sheer massive force.
Pain overtook her as she numbly peeled from his door, falling to the ground almost lifeless. All energy ceased to exist as she laid in front of her assaulter. She forced herself to slowly move her head, turning to look into his dark eyes, daring to look in what she can only imagine was the look of male satisfaction. Instead, she locked her meek gaze with black fury, anger, untamed animalistic rage. She has seen Sasuke angry before, especially when she would push his buttons. But, this anger was different. It was far more real, and far more dangerous. Deadly.
"Don't you dare continue linking your mind with him, Sakura."
Sakura gasped out loud. Satoshi was gone. The slightest trace of his mental connection completely vanished in an instance. He was no longer connected with her, leaving her to face the impending eruption of Volcano Sasuke alone. To face his fiery wrath. His anger. His darkness. Inside his mind she saw no mercy. She saw no light. Just so much darkness; darkness mixed with blazing anger. She couldn't help but note that the direction of his anger surprised her. She came into his room with the intent to kill him, and yet his anger was directed towards something else. His wrath was aimed at… Satoshi? She saw Sasuke was enraged that she so willingly sought Satoshi for assistance, willingly opened her mind to him, and even so much as went into his own mind. Yet, she refused to do so with Sasuke himself. She read his emotions like an open book. Her lack of common sense lit a fuse for him.
"Now you decide to go inside my mind to see what I am feeling. I have had it opened for you since we've been connected, and you choose now to decide to link together on your own?"
Sasuke spoke to her as he stood up from his bed and stalked towards her. She was in too much pain to even consider struggling away from him. His masculine-framed body towered over her weak, vulnerable figure as she lay on the ground helpless and consumed by such unspeakable pain.
"You thought you could kill me, Sakura?"
She groaned, electric sizzling pains shooting through her arms and legs as she tried so hard to change positions and get a better view of him.
"S-sasuke. I─"
"What do you take me for? Did you think I was not aware of what you were doing? Understand this. You belong with me. You are mine. I know what you are doing every second of the day, and every second of the night. You thought you were being sneaky when communicating with Satoshi through your mind. You thought he would make a better master than I. You thought to kill me. You thought to betray me."
He knelt down next to her, and immediately grabbed hold of her chin to force her to look up towards him. Force her eyes to lock with his and understand his rage, understand his anger towards her. However, she couldn't take the hint. She was so torn by Sasuke's darkness, that she instinctively disconnected her mind from his. She couldn't bear to face his demonic aura and tainted thoughts any longer. She couldn't bear to stay connected with his darkness willingly. She just couldn't.
And that pissed him off even more.
"I am at my limits, Sakura. I have watched you as you link your mind with another and communicate with him, and feel what's inside of him. No more will I allow that to slide. His mental barrier is no match against me. Those secret conversations you had with him are now nonexistent, and he cannot help you. Take this as a warning."
Anger started building up in Sakura's chest, alongside hurt and aggravation at her own self. She wanted to turn away, not able to continue to look at him. In a sense, this caused her to think about her past events that led up to her becoming the kunoichi she was. She's achieved so much, yet couldn't be more disappointed with herself. If she were to believe she could stand shoulder to shoulder with her former teammates, Naruto and Sasuke, then there's little chance she'd be in such a predicament. It killed her to admit that perhaps she's still the same weak girl everyone remembers. Perhaps she's not as strong as she thought she was.
"For once you have nothing to say?"
Sasuke spoke as he read her self-pity, rewatched her memories of her building up to the woman she was now, focusing on the movie of flashbacks before his mental eyes, but decided not to speak on that. He believed he had already punished her enough with his present rage and decided not to pour salt over her open wound.
Sighing out loud, Sasuke reluctantly took hold of Sakura's arm and as he stood up, he brought her with him to a standing position. It didn't take long for him to notice her weak features. Her knees shook as they worked in overdrive to keep her from falling over, and her arms had a slight quiver to them. Sasuke knew if he released her arm, she would collapse.
He recognized the force of his power was rough, but it was far more than that. Sakura had slept very little, and ate a tiny meal within the timespan of a few days. She was weak even stepping foot into his chamber, and now her body was having difficulty keeping her at bay with his most recent attack on her. The thought of her weakness made him growl in aggravation. Only he would have a captive idiotic enough to be at their weakest point and still make an attempt on his life.
Sasuke let out another audible sigh. It was late in the night and Sakura was causing him an annoyance of problems, and at an unreasonable hour. The entire situation with her and Satoshi scheming was troublesome, burdensome, and annoying. She was annoying.
Annoying, huh? Just like the good ol' days, Sasuke.
Even in her mind, there was a struggle to connect with him. She was so damned tired, and in so much agonizing pain, she swore if he wasn't holding her up, she'd pass out on his own bedroom floor. She tried to shield the clench in her heart when she read his thoughts on her being annoying. It was a trigger word for her, no matter the circumstance. Sasuke had every right to find her to be the most annoying person on the planet right now. His thoughts were completely justified. Yet, she couldn't help but be guilted once again by her lack of strength, and her annoying the man she once loved.
Sasuke looked as if he was having a mental argument with himself. He knew Sakura was not capable of reaching her cell by herself, even with his mental push. He also didn't want the burden to escort her or take her himself. There was also a thought that crossed his mind that Satoshi would come lurking for his captive once more, and that was something he would not have. This back and forth was further aggravating him as he didn't feel the desire to have to babysit a woman because he wanted more power. Letting out another sigh, this time out of defeat, he looked back towards Sakura and spoke,
"You're not returning to your cell. You will stay with me tonight."
"Eh?"
It took a moment for Sakura to process him, still feeling sluggish over this encounter with the inpatient Uchiha. She stared at him blankly for a few moments, until the meaning of his words sunk in.
"EH!? You mean I'll be sleeping in the same room as you!?"
Her gasp was loud and energetic; her movements matching as her shock woke her adrenaline up and she jumped back in alarming surprise. She shook her head violently back and forth, protesting his demand. Regardless of how she felt about him, how much she undeniably loathed him, she didn't want him to spot the flush of crimson red now covering her translucent cheeks. The thought of spending the night in the same room as any man was embarrassing to her, let alone the man she had once loved with every ounce of love she could give.
"Sasuke… Sasuke I can't. Please don't make me stay here. Send me back to my cell. I promise you I will walk there on my own and not try running off. I promise I won't try and scheme against you, nor try and kill you. Honest. You can ever see in my mind I'm telling the truth."
She didn't wait for him to speak before turning her back to him and slowly walking towards what remained of his damaged door. She figured if she didn't look at him and he delved into her mind, he'd see she was being honest. She even provided Sasuke the vision that if Satoshi reached out to her, she'd tell him to fuck off, and even threw a visual of her pummeling him with her brute strength, pounding her fists into his face repeatedly.
Sakura had made it to his door and reached her hand out to push the flimsy structure open. Her weakness and exhaustion wanted to burst free, but her fear overpowered those feelings. She could not spend the night in the same room as this man. As she pushed the door open and began to step out, her relief was quickly washed away as Sasuke's dark, hypnotic voice spoke to her.
"You're not going anywhere."
He was not risking her weakened state to wonder around Orochimaru's lair. He was not giving Satoshi easy access to his captive, and he was not staying up much longer to ensure she made it there in one piece. This was much easier for him before he lost all patience.
"Sasuke! You can't keep me in this ro-"
"Sakura."
He cut her off with just a simple state of her name.
"Shut the door."
Her eyes widened as her shocked expression turned to begging. Unwillingly her hand clenched at his door and she attempted to struggle with her little remaining strength against his command, all in a futile effort. The door was now shut, and her eyes still widened facing towards the Uchiha.
"Sasuke, no-"
"Come here."
His voice was low, unintentionally pure seduction as he spoke to her. A black purr as his facial expression kept that hard edge and stoic stare. It left Sakura breathless and unable to refuse, as much as she wanted to do so.
"Please don't make me stay here." She gave one last beg, almost defeated. She knew there was no defying against his will. There was no challenging him. There was simply obedience. A word she could only say she had towards her home's Hokage. Not to a rouge criminal.
"I said come here."
Her legs began to tremble before moving against her will, strolling towards his direction. She stopped directly in front of him, and looked up at him, taking in his cold features and the hard edge around his fine line of his lips.
Sasuke stared down at her with a stoic gaze before speaking to her.
"If you can't resist yourself from reaching out to Satoshi, then you will stay by my side so I can ensure you stay out of trouble."
Sakura sulked. "He reached out to me. It's not like I can kick people out of my head." She knew if she said that to anyone else, she'd get locked away for sounding looney.
"You deliberately tried to hide it from me, in hopes his plan would actually work. You purposely tried to lock yourself with another. I told you once and I'll tell you again. You are mine. Now get in bed."
"What!" She turned away from him, hiding her wild blush that crept upon her features. "We don't need to share the same bed. I can at least sleep on the floor…"
Sasuke sighed, annoyed this exchange was still going on at such an unreasonable time of night. For a brief second, he questioned if these new abilities were even worth the hassle he was going through. But, that thought quickly diminished as he noted how much keener his senses were, and how he had power over a strong medic who can and will do anything he commands from her. This power will be useful for his overall goal, and will provide better sensory skills to equally match that of his ocular abilities.
He ignored her and turned around to go back towards his bed, half expecting her to follow him, assuming she'd understand he was not one to change his mind just to suit her. When she stood in the same spot, not making any effort to budge, it caused a growl to emerge from under his breath.
"Sakura." He spoke impatiently. "Get in the bed first."
She had no chance of making an attempt at leaving the bed in the middle of the night to scheme against him more if she was sandwiched in between his masculine frame and the solidity of the wall. She wouldn't be able to take advantage of him being in a deep slumber, now in risk of waking him up.
Dread swamped over her as her legs began to move on their own accord towards his bed. The embarrassment that consumed her was overbearing, and she found herself unable to be angry at him. She wanted to be though. She wanted to hate him with every fiber of her being. But, her anger and annoyance were subsidized by her sheer embarrassment that overtook her. Her cheeks weren't the only thing stained with crimson red. She felt her entire body heat up the closer she got to the bed. Her mind went into a frenzy haze as she thought how close she was going to be laying next to a man. How close their bodies would be from touching. Her in the same bed as another man. And not just any ordinary nice man. But Sasuke Uchiha. Her first love.
"Please let me sleep on the floor. This is so humiliating!"
Her feet stopped at the edge of the mattress, and soon she found herself now crawling to the edge of the bed close to the wall. Immediately she felt the shifting in the mattress and Sasuke followed suit, lying down on his back besides her. She sat next to him feeling too flustered to even move. She couldn't possibly lay down next to him. She couldn't possibly be at ease with their bodies so close that she could feel his masculine heat emitting off from him and caressing over her. How could she be expected to get that much needed sleep when her nerves and anxiety were about to skyrocket? Yet, looking over towards him, this didn't faze him in the least. He had his eyes closed, arms folded and placed directly behind his head; he was ready to finally sleep, and not feel any more burden from the load Sakura was giving him.
Sakura found herself hugging at her knees. The quiet room was finally getting to her, and pesky tears threatened to spill from her dull green eyes. How could she get into such a situation? She wondered how much of a life she could live this way. How long would Sasuke permit her to live, since he was now in control of every human aspect she possessed. Things were not supposed to be this way. She swore she would get stronger, and be of great use to her village. How could she become slave to the enemy?
Lay down.
His voice came in like a gentle whisper. It was still a command, but not the harsh tone she has gotten quite accustomed to. There was a softer request laced to it.
Regardless of his tone of voice, Sakura found herself laying down; she was head-level with Sasuke, creating a harsh pounding, almost violent, heartbeat in her chest. Her breathing convulsing much harder and unstable than before. Her eyes scanned all around the room, refusing to lock onto his sleeping figure. She found no peace in her mind, no peace in her physical body. Her nerves were alive and well, and keeping her from functioning clearly.
I'm so tired… But I can't sleep next to him!
She screamed to herself in a painful aggravation. Her body had many needs. She was on the brink of starvation, she was at her limit in sheer exhaustion and mentally tired, her body was weak from her assault by Sasuke. If there was anything that would help her, it would be sleep. But, she was too afraid of him. Too afraid of the power he possessed over her, and the things he could do to her. And she was embarrassed. She failed to notice how loose his top was, and how easy it was for his bare skin to reveal itself.
Sleep, Sakura.
She let out a little gasp as her eyes darted quickly over to him. She felt her mind clearing up of all anxiety, and every image she was picturing started to become cloudy. Black slowly began overtaking her before she finally relaxed on his bed, breathing becoming in sync with serenity. For the second time, he spared her and allowed her to find solace in her slumber.
Thank you, Sasuke. Thank you…
He saw in her mind she finally was asleep, all thoughts void and nonexistent. This time he made it a certainty she would not awake until he himself made the command. He was aware of the mental strain she felt. He was also aware that she recognized his true form of power. She got to see first-hand an ounce of his true strength compared to her own. He was able to read that she had finally mentally accepted her circumstances being bound to someone like Sasuke.
Before the sleep overtook him as well, he made one more mental note. Sakura had caused him many problems and annoyances in the past. There was no doubt in his mind that she would continue her troublesome streak.
From a far distance away, outside the lair of Orochimaru, an ominous black cloud covered the sky. Inside was filled with the essence of a blood red mist, swirling with infinite slowness and emitting a dangerously dark aroma. It seeped around and touched everything beneath it, covering the small portion of land with a glittering red overlay. Creatures and animals that were enjoying the peaceful serenity of the night paused to look up at the sudden bleakness covering their homes. The night became silent. Painfully silent. Not even the rustling of the branches could be heard from Mother Nature's soothing wind. The forest was quiet, keeping its secrets.
Animals that roamed the night started to scurry to their homelands, wanting to stay hidden from the impending darkness looming over the lands. Then the silhouette of a man fell from the dark cloud, forcefully landing onto the hard ground beneath him. As soon as his body slammed into the ground, the blood red mist vanished, and the demonic cloud ceased to exist. The nighttime casualties resumed back to normal, as if nothing had happened.
Satoshi groaned as he sat up, rubbing his temples in hopes of soothing his pounding headache. His muscles spasmed in such excruciating pain, and his head felt as if it was going to explode. Never had he felt such agonizing tormenting pain before. Never has he felt so humiliated before. This was not over.
Damn that Uchiha. Damn him to the lowest pits of hell…
Satoshi growled under his breath, resenting Sasuke Uchiha even more. If Sasuke thought he had won this war, he was in for quite the awakening of a lifetime. He had merely won that round, but round two was only just beginning. Satoshi made a vow that Sasuke will not walk this world alive much longer, and he would have Sakura all to himself.
Even with the pain, he shook his head in resentment. Why on earth did he care about having Sakura? If he was asked honestly, he would say she was an alright woman. Nothing special. Just in Orochimaru's lair alone there were a list of followers whom he thought could be prettier than Sakura.
If he truly believed that, then why the fuck did he want her so damned bad?
You will not win her, Uchiha punk.
He forced himself to stand up, groaning in pain in the process. He had to move, and he had to move fast. He lost all connection with Sakura, and he knew she was left alone with the pissed off Sasuke, and God only knows what he would do to her out of sheer anger. He wondered if there was a chance of being able to reach her again.
Mentally he began to search for her. Sasuke might have broken their connection, but this was his curse. He created this. Sasuke cannot outdo him on his own scientific creation. Satoshi seeped through the mental wavelengths of every human in Orochimaru's lair, slipping passed all of them to find his prey. He found Sasuke's mind frequency and paused for a moment. Sasuke Uchiha was sleeping. Had the damage already been dealt with? Had he already punished Sakura for her attempt at his life? Satoshi growled, but continued.
To his utter surprise he no sooner found Sakura. She was also asleep; a very deep, hypnotic sleep. Her breathing was at a relaxing pace, and he could tell her sleep was almost like a mesmerizing trance. He would not be able to wake her up, and Sasuke ensured that.
They're sleeping in the same bed! I cannot believe this!
Satoshi let out a raging roar and threw his fist into the closest object, which was a large tree. Sasuke had such a tight leash over Sakura, that he made sure she now stayed by his side to avoid any outside interferences; mainly Satoshi himself. But they did not have to sleep in the same bed! She could have slept on the floor.
Fucking Uchiha. Fuck you straight to hell!
Satoshi couldn't believe the anger that was building inside of him. The sheer animosity he had felt towards Sasuke right now. The betrayal he felt towards Sakura. How dare she sleep in the same bed as him. After everything Satoshi risked to help her, and she dared to share a bed with that man. He understood that Sakura had no say in any decision that Sasuke made on her behalf, but it mattered little to him. A passionate anger clouded any common sense and his sense of judgement and he was enraged by this betrayal on her part. He wanted to make her pay. He wanted all of them to pay. Someone had to suffer, and he declared it would not be him.
You've started a war now, Sasuke. A raging war. I swear to God that I will kill you. I'll make you suffer. And then I'll punish Sakura. She'll regret ever having feelings for a bastard like you.
Satoshi's breathing became heavier, his fists clenching so hard that the nails pierced his skin and caused red droplets of blood to trail down his skin. He's never felt so enraged and consumed by such jealousy before. Had his own curse seal done this? Perhaps being in Sakura's mind, he got to have a special bond with her, and now his body and mind refused to give her up. He absolutely refused to let Sasuke have her. She had to become his. He would 100 percent guarantee it.
Sakura!
Sakura eyes abruptly jolted open at the sound of her name screamed in sheer distress. Her breathing returning to a panicked heavy beating, and her body felt frozen in time. That voice… it couldn't be.
"Hi Sakura."
Sakura looked up and saw Satoshi standing at the foot of the bed, a much harder line to his normally softer features. His face expressed no emotion. He was stoic, dark, rough features reflecting over him. This current look he had reminded her exactly of Sasuke.
"Don't you fucking dare compare me to that damn Uchiha."
Satoshi scoffed in utter disgust. His rage was evident as his eyes blared a fire red when he sneered at her, hands clutched the railing at foot of the bed. His reaction gave Sakura quite the startle. This was not the Satoshi she had come to know. Sure, he created her troubles in the first place, but this person in front of her was not the normal Satoshi she knew. He was far more dangerous, far more damned.
"Satoshi… what are you doing here?"
She spoke slowly, trying to calm him down. She found the strength to sit up and give him her undivided attention. There was an unparallel fear that built up in her, because she felt the Satoshi she was speaking to at this very moment would snap in a heartbeat. He was filled with a rage that she couldn't comprehend or understand why.
"I'm here for you, Sakura. You didn't think I'd leave you with this man all by yourself, did you? You're safe now. You can come with me."
Satoshi's rage subsided for the moment as he spoke to her. His tone did a 180 as he held his hand out to her, fully expecting her to be at ease and take it.
"Satoshi!" Sakura quietly shrieked. She knew first-hand about Sasuke's rage. If he were to wake up and see him here, they'd both be as good as dead. "You can't be here. Sasuke will-"
"Sasuke nothing! Take a look at your precious Sasuke!"
His fist clenched again and punched down on the bed, missing her feet by merely a few inches. Blood red anger was fuming from him again, causing Sakura to let out a nervous gulp. But, she held her own, narrowing her eyes towards Satoshi and shook her head.
"You need to leave!"
She snapped towards him, her own fists clenching the blanket and slamming against the bed. It took a few moments for his words to resonate with her, and she slowly turned her head to look towards her Uchiha captor.
"Sasuke?" She whispered softly.
Her eyes widened, tiny pupils quivering at the gruesome, unbelievable sight next to her. Sasuke was lying next to her motionless, breathless, and with his very own sword standing tall and proud through him, as it was stabbed through his heart. His blood seeped out of the wound where his sword pierced, and in the background, she could hear the sadism of Satoshi's demonic laugh.
"No! Sasuke!" She shouted as she instinctively turned to him, hands glowing light green and she emitted her healing chakra into his lifeless body. All the hatred and anger she felt for the Uchiha instantly vanished, as only one thought stuck in her mind. She had to save him. She knew she could. Such a weak and trivial attack wasn't enough to destroy Sasuke. She refused to believe it.
Satoshi's cruel laugh became louder, and pierced through the halls of the lair.
Welcome to my raging war, Sakura.
