Author's Note: I just can't seem to decide on this pairing. Half of my fics are with them are happily ever after, and half are downright depressing. :-/ Oh, well. Hope you enjoy.

Rose lays awake that night next to the new Doctor, watching him sleep. She knows he's not the same man she fell in love with, and yet he's identical in almost every way. His looks, his memories, the way he thinks and speaks.

And she loves him. She can't help it, even though it almost feels like a betrayal. She knows the other Doctor, the original, is out there somewhere in that other universe. She hopes he'll find someone new to travel with him soon, someone to help him get over her and make him happy. Someone to make him as happy as she is now.

The man beside her whispers her name in his sleep, and her heart swells. No, he's not the same, but he's so close. A gift, pure and simple. A way she can spent the rest of her life with the man she loves, and he with her. She remembers what he said to her, so long ago it seems now, about not being able to do that. Now he can, and they will never be apart.

She loves him. She always has and always will.
