We've all seen the Zuko lightning strike from Katara's view but what about Zuko's? Don't own Avatar.

Zuko saw Azula shoot the lightning in the wrong direction and turned with growing dread.

His feet were moving even before he saw Katara, her words running through his head about the spirit water "I used it all up after Azula shot you" she had said.

But despite that he couldn't let her be killed. He felt his heart race as he shouted "No!" hoping to slow down time.

He leapt inbetween Katara and the lightning and felt an immense pain explode throughout his body, starting at his chest. He could feel the rocks under him as he tumbled to the ground, furthering the fire in his blood. He groaned as pain flooded his senses. But despite that he could still feel the life from the comet.

Strengthened by that he looked up, trying to find Azula. He saw a blue blur running towards him before diving out of the way of an explosion of blue. Zuko felt dread growing inside of him, this was not Katara's battle. She couldn't get hurt. He reached out desperately, almost as though he could fight.

His hand fell numbly to the ground as he lowered his head for a second, hearing Azula call out something. He looked up again, seeing Azula chase Katara around. For a moment he lost sight of them and the fire burned brightly in him as he hoped the girl could defend herself.

Relief clawed at him as Katara ran out towards him. He lowered his gaze, trying to fight the darkness at the edge of his vision. He could feel gentle hands turn him over and he gasped weakly in pain. For a brief moment he couldn't help but wonder if that was how Aang had felt.

Suddenly he felt a cool sensation on his chest and he felt the pain increase before fading to a tolerable level. He opened his eyes to look at Katara in wonder and thanks. "Thank you Katara" he whispered.

Katara smiled in relief, tears flowing down her cheeks "I think I'm the one who should be thanking you" she said thankfully. Zuko felt a strange emotion wash over him as Katara helped him to his unsteady feet.

From there he could see where his sister was chained to a water way. She began crying, shooting fire from her mouth as she writhed, trying to free herself. Zuko looked down in a strange detached pity, knowing that it was his father who had ruined this young girl so badly.

He could feel Katara turn her gaze on him as he realized...they had done it. Azula was defeated. Now it was all up to Aang...
