Sasuke looked into the night sky, straight to the full moon.

All his nights were like this one… he could never sleep.

It was because of… her. Sakura. Why did she haunt his thoughts like this?

Every damn night… her flawless face invaded his thoughts.

Causing him to have to go sit under this Sakura tree on a hill far away from his current team's hideout.

He always remembered something different each night… tonight it was her smile.

"Sasuke-kun!" look at these pretty flowers! She smiled widely at him, clutching a handful of sunflowers to her chest. "Do you think Ino would like them?" He had just said, "Hn." and started to walk away. But Sakura caught his sleeve.

"Wait! Sasuke-kun…" He turned and glared at her. "Here!" Sakura said, smiling again and handing him a flower. "See ya!" She had then said, and run off.

Sasuke examined the flower. Dainty and perfect, just like…. He smiled.

Sasuke sighed. That memory was clear as day. And no one knew but… he kept that flower pressed in a book for the longest time.

He quickly bowed his head and for the first time, in a long time, he prayed.

"Dear God…

The only thing I ask of you is to hold her when I'm not around,

when I'm much too far away.

We all need the person who can be true to you

I left her when I found her…

and now I wish I stayed.

Cuz I'm lonely

and I'm tired

I'm missing you again…"

He opened his eyes slowly.

"Sakura… wait for me." he said out loud, then he began his walk back to his hideout.

The Sakura petals blew around him his whole way back.
