"It's never too early for a sitting with the court painter, Zuko. Make sure he gets your good side."

Fire Lord Zuko stood in the main hallway, where he and Azula first had that conversation. At the time, Zuko had been insulted that she would insult his scar. But there was truth in what his sister had said, though she didn't know it. There were two sides to Zuko.

He recalled again why he had his mark. It was because he had stood up for the battalion of new recruits. He had refused to fight his own father. And he had been ashamed of this mark. The thought baffled him now.

"Excuse me, my lord, are you ready?" the court painter asked.

"Oh, yes, of course," Zuko said as he turned to face the painter, "And make sure you get my good side."

"Of course my lord. If you could turn more to the left so your scar isn't so… prominent."

"What do you mean?" Fire Lord Zuko said as he turned to the right, so you could only see a bit of his non-scarred side, "This is my good side."

Wow, that was a lot of fun. I can't take credit for the concept of the short oneshot about Zuko. I got the idea for this by reading "Thou Bitter Sky" by SoloMoon. You can find it here: /s/4505271/1/ThouBitterSky

It's a really amazing story. Just short but deep stories. Since 99 of fanfiction is crap, it's the other 1 like SoloMoon that keep it writing. I don't know if I'll keep doing these. Maybe if another idea comes to me.
