Dear Sweet Alice

Alice tried to run all the way through upside down chairs and floating tables, coupled grins and frowning faces. She passed a tree that screamed and screamed, passed a rabbit bleeding from its mouth- passed the laughing flowers, the sinister smiles, the evil eyes, the glares, the butterflies- they flutter in ominous ways (believe me when I say). And she passed and passed and- going in circles now, she couldn't breathe.

Halt. Stop and a pause and then

She heard music blare through her ears- he's coming

Just a few notes now. Don't be shy honey, come to me, we'll make it better.

Alice clasped both hands on both ears, screaming, screaming and tearing through muffled sobs- "Stop it! Stop it!" Leavemealonepleaseplease!

But she couldn't stop hearing, no she couldn't stop shouting- and she couldn't stop breathing. So she ran- again, for the umpteenth time since he came.

Dear Alice, sweet Alice- won't you come to me? We'll make it better, through this song, through this chime. I swear I'll try, this charm so new- oh Dear Alice, sweet sweet Alice-

Runrunrun don't stop, don't look back, he's scary, he's a demon, he's unknown and- very handsome indeed. An alluring voice, an addictive smile- and beautiful just beautiful

Just run.

Her footsteps took her to places she didn't know, deeper deeper and deeper into the forest now. Search far and wide- help! Yes she needed help- oh Cheshire cat, even you would do! Please appear! Please do!

"Why the stop princess? Are you loving me now?" Hot breath seeped deep into her skin, his mouth pressed carefully onto her ear, whispering things she couldn't hear- but still she could and she sank, sank- into that voice of dreams and memories.

His arms snaked around her waist, filling her with warmth, happiness then it went all-

Dear sweet Alice, won't you come to play? I swear I'll make it better, just come to me you'll see

She halted her breathing, she stopped her sobbing- and fought on. She writhed and pulled and yanked but his grasp on her was just too tight

Getting harder- harder to breathe. Just hold on tight my love, sweet bliss is near.

He smiled and laughed, pressing his face into her hair- she smelled of cinnamon and baked bread, he loves that- very much he does.

Alice was losing hope, losing hope and losing faith but still she loved him for all he's worth.

The music stopped, his singing froze, and in those moments Alice began to jerk awake.

Her head was spinning, and she could tell that she was still in fact, lost in the middle of the forest- stupid rabbit, where could he have gone now? It was a dream maybe, that boy, that handsome boy with his beautiful voice and his intimidating presence.

Goodnight my love, when I see you again- don't forget my song, our song.

Dear Alice, sweet sweet Alice…we'll meet again.

Her hands felt cold, her body began to ache and in those moments she was awake

"Demyx…are you- that scary?"

But still she loved him, and still she waited- lost and lost again, until they meet again. Then she'll run, then she'll lose her breath, and then she'll be more than lost- because then she'd be found.
