Author's Notes: When I got off the phone last night, after talking for hours with a great friend of mine, I wondered about God and how He wants us to spend time with Him. I enjoyed my conversation with my friend, TinksBelle85. We live hundreds of miles away from each other, but when we talk and write to each other, the distance doesn't matter, because the friendship is there. So what about God? We may not be able to see Him or hear His voice in the way we'd like or expect, but He is always there with us, listening to us, wanting to spend time with us, and most of all, share a laugh with us. Laughing With God

Last night on the phone
I stayed up for hours
Laughing with my friend
Catching up on old times and new
Talking about movies
Giggling about YouTube videos
Exchanging family stories
And sharing more laughs
Helping each other
Sharing everything
From our family to our fanfics

When I got off the phone
I wondered if God wants to
Share this same fellowship
With us, His beloved children
His prized creation

God wants to laugh with us too
He wants us to share our tears
So He can dry and kiss them away
While leaving a memory of
His unfathomable compassion and
His amazing grace
On the tablets of our hearts
And move mountains in our skeptical
Sometimes-still-questioning minds

But He doesn't mind!
Not at all!
God wants us to "keep it real"
As they say on the streets
He wants us to be honest
To a fault with Him
Because with Him
It's not a fault
It makes your relationship with Him
Stronger than ever

He wants us to ask
When we don't understand
Pray and ask for faith
When we experience unbelief
In His word and His promises
He wants us to love one another
And love thy neighbor
He wants us to strive
To become like His son, Jesus
The Prince of Peace

God wants us
To tell him everything
From our family to our fanfics
He wants us to
Catch up with Him
Make time for Him
Just as we do for our friends and family
(And fanfiction)
He wants us to share with Him
So He can move in our lives
He wants us to not be afraid
To ask for help
In our time of need
He wants us to trust Him
As we trust our best friends
Because to Him
He is our Best Friend
He knows what's best
Even when we swear we do

God is patient
And when you're ready
To turn to Him
He'll have his arms wide open
Because he was always ready
For you

God even wants us
To wrestle with Him
Struggle with our faith
So that it develops
So that we learn to
Trust Him
With all our spirit, heart, and mind

Most of all
God wants to
Laugh with us
And have a relationship
With you
That will take you
Places beyond your
Craziest dreams and wildest imagination
