Romeo and Juliet

By: Paio Ichiris Jin

Err… I changed my mind…
And decided to post up the first part of the grand finale.
It's short but I hope you still enjoy it!
This is the eleventh story in this crack collection!
And Hibari finally appears.

:D

Warning: CRACK. VERY CRACK.

In the end, Hibari Kyouya, the one with the male leading role, never attended any of the dress rehearsals. And now... it was the day of their opening night.

Tsuna squirmed, wringing his hands in his lap. Ryohei sat across from him, eyebrows furrowed and body hunched over as he tried to think of a solution. Yamamoto and Gokudera sat beside Tsuna, eyebrows scrunched together as well. They were all still wearing their costumes because their last dress rehearsal had just ended and still, no Hibari had come. After a few more seconds of grinding their minds in thought, Ryohei broke the silence.

"This isn't good..."

Gokudera rolled his eyes. "You think? It's opening night. And we don't even have a Romeo. Are you sure Hibari actually accepted the role? Or did you just force yourself on him, you stupid turf-head?!"

Ryohei scratched the side of his forehead. "Well, since he didn't say no himself, I thought that he had agreed!"

Tsuna and Gokudera almost slammed their heads against the wall behind them. But Gokudera opted to give a good smack to Ryohei's head instead. The silver haired boxer glared at the silver haired explosives user. "OW! What was that for?!"

"For being so damn thick-headed!" Gokudera spat back and pointed at Tsuna. "Now look! We have poor little Juliet without her Romeo!"

A bead of sweat ran down Tsuna's head and he laughed weakly. "Erm... I guess... we can cancel the show...?"

Ryohei shot up from his seat, body blazing in a great fire. "NEVER! The show MUST GO ON!"

Yamamoto scratched his cheek and smiled hesitantly. "So... we're going to make an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet...? But still... without a Romeo... it's sort of... weird."

Ryohei growled in frustration and then slammed a mighty palm upon a convenient desk placed beside them. "I KNOW! Everyone! Gather up the members of the A Team! We're having an impromptu meeting!"

"EHH?!" Tsuna cried and Ryohei lifted the boy up from his seat.

"GO!" Ryohei shouted and then sped off down the halls, calling out for all members of the A Team.

And so... the students all gathered in a large classroom, weary from running away from their crazy silver haired leader. Ryohei stepped up to the podium and pointed an index finger at all of the people present. "Listen closely everyone!"

Tsuna groaned and sunk into his chair, sitting once again at the back of the room with his two friends for the umpteenth time in three weeks. Gokudera yawned boredly again and Yamamoto continued to smile like always.

"I have a very important mission for you all..." Ryohei started lowly. He leaned his body over the podium, looking as though he would pounce upon anyone who dared to interrupt him. "This mission is so important and extreme that if we don't accomplish it, we won't be able to participate in the cultural convention today!"

Gasps erupted from the classroom. They all knew that they were missing a Romeo. Hibari Kyouya had never come to any of the dress rehearsals. But now... there was another problem that needed more attention than an absent Romeo? What could this be?!

Ryohei picked up a piece of chalk and started scribbling on the board. When he finished, the students stared at it, noticing that it looked like an obscure map of the Namimori campus. A few 'x's had been labelled over various spots and the crowd murmured to each other quietly, wondering to each other what it all meant. The silver haired boxer slammed his palm against the blackboard, sending chalk dust puffing off from it in tufts. Then, he boomed grandly, "Our new mission: KIDNAP HIBARI KYOUYA!"

The crowd visibly shrunk away from the board.

"What?" A boy whispered hoarsely, not believing he had heard the silver haired boxer properly.

Ryohei grinned and pointed at the 'x's on the campus. "I've remembered that these areas are usually where Hibari likes to appear. If we all split up into teams and go to each location, we should be able to find and catch him in no time!"

"IMPOSSIBLEEEE!" A boy screamed. A few girls shrieked and ran around in circles, bumping into desks and knocking over others in their terror.

Tsuna blanched. After listening to many of onii-san's strange and bad ideas... this one was by far the worst. Capturing Hibari-san...? That would never happen. But his two friends thought otherwise.

Gokudera smirked and flicked out his dynamite quickly from his dress. "Yes, this was what I was waiting for...! That damn, Romeo. I'm so gonna kill you for violating Jyuudaime!" And before Tsuna could stop him or wonder when Hibari had ever violated him, Gokudera ran out the door, somehow being able to run at full speed and still not trip over the hem of his dress. As he left, he shouted a brief, "I'm going to the roof!" to tell everyone else that the roof would be his.

Yamamoto grinned brightly and chortled. "Ohh? Kidnapping Hibari? That sounds pretty interesting." He stood up and sent a smile to Tsuna (and Tsuna silently hoped that that wouldn't be the last smile he saw from him) and then patted the boy on the head. "I think I'll go check out the Disciplinary Committee room, then. Wish me luck on capturing Hibari!" The baseball player winked and then slipped his hands into his pockets casually, leaving out the door, headed towards a very dangerous location.

Tsuna paled considerably. Those two... they were actually going to try it... The brown haired boy groaned in frustration and let his head fall to his desk. "What's gotten into those two...?"

Ryohei grinned. "That's the spirit! Who else is with me?!" He blinked in surprise when he found no one but Tsuna present in the room. "Oh! Everyone's already gone off to try and get Hibari, huh! They didn't say where they were going though... I guess I'll just check out the rest of the locations myself!" He strolled over to Tsuna with long strides and smiled down at the boy. "Where will you be going, Sawada?"

"Uhhhhh..." A bead of sweat ran down Tsuna's head and his eyes shifted to the side uncertainly. He didn't want to take part in this at all! Especially not in an event for capturing Hibari. People would undoubtedly get hurt in the process... Tears streamed down Tsuna's cheeks. Why, onii-san...? Why are you so fearless? "Uhhhh... I think... I'll just walk around..." He muttered quietly, unable to look at Kyoko's older brother in the eye.

"That's just like you, Sawada! I should try that... instead of purposefully searching for him, why not just stumble across him accidentally?!" Ryohei beamed, slapping Tsuna on the back, fully believing that that was what Tsuna had been planning all along. "We'll search every single corner of the school! Hibari Kyouya can't hide forever!" The silver haired boxer sent two thumbs up at the brown haired boy, "I wish you extreme luck!" And then he rushed off in a burst of speed, fast enough to match a bullet train.

Tsuna watched Ryohei go and then shook his head. Those guys... shouldn't they have at least changed out of their costumes before searching for Hibari-san...? After all, when it came to Hibari-san, no one got away without at least getting their clothes soiled in some way. The boy sighed deeply while lifting himself out of his seat reluctantly and he forced his legs to start walking. As he took a few steps, he took the chance to observe his skirts flowing behind him beautifully. He stared at the skirts waving beneath him and a small smile graced his lips. Actually... wearing these dresses were pretty fun. Feeling the soft fabric brush against his legs and billow away gracefully... It made him... feel sort of like... a princess...

The brown haired boy stopped in his tracks, eyes wide open. Then, he slapped his head several times in frustration. "BAD THOUGHTS! BAD THOUGHTS!" He continued to smack himself as he walked down the hall and out the building, letting his legs carry him wherever they wished to go. Tsuna continued to stare down at his dress, entranced by the colors as he moved. Suddenly, he felt his head collide with something hard and Tsuna winced in pain as his head throbbed. "Ow! Ow!" He whimpered and rubbed his head, wondering what he had run into when he hadn't been looking.

A tree.

"..." Tsuna stared at the bark of the tree blankly. For some reason... this tree was really irritating him right now... And then, driven by all his frustration pent up from the past three weeks, he pulled his foot back and sent it hurtling into the trunk.

Which only ended up in causing the tree to wave slightly back and forth, and his toes to throb just as painfully as--if not more than--his head.

Tsuna pouted in annoyance and was about to bend over to check if any of his toes had started bleeding from his stupid move, when suddenly, something heavy fell from within the tree, landing beside him with a loud fwump!. "HIIIEEEK!" The brown haired boy jumped away and hid himself behind the tree, using the trunk as a shield of sorts from whatever thing that had just happened to fall. Tsuna peeked around the ant infested bark when he finally realized what had fallen. Or rather... who had fallen...

Tsuna stood face to face with Hibari, who was glaring fully into his eyes, petrifying the other boy to the core. The brown haired boy's mouth opened in a surprised 'o'. He... he had found.... Hibari-san...?

"You..." Hibari's eyes narrowed and Tsuna 'hiee!-ed' again while hastily hiding himself behind the tree trunk. The dark haired prefect merely swung around the tree, slamming a palm against the trunk, right beside Tsuna's head. The brown haired boy gulped. He was cornered... and they were behind a tree... which meant... no one would see him here... Tsuna screamed internally in his mind. Hibari continued. "You... did you just kick this tree?"

Tsuna trembled. "Erm... uh..." The boy cowered and shook terribly. "I...! I...! I really didn't mean to! I'm sorry! I'm really really sorry! I'll never do it again, I swear! Please don't hurt me...!"

Hibari stared coldly at the shorter boy and then he reached behind him to grab his tonfa. At that simple action, Tsuna yelped and put his hands up to try and defend himself, however useless the defense was. "WAIT! WAIT! Hibari-san!" He put his hands on the other young man's arm, trying to possibly stop him. Hibari sent him a ferocious glare and threw him off of his arm and into the tree. Tsuna gasped as his back hit the bark but he ignored the pain and lifted his hands appeasingly once more. "Wait! Hibari-san...! At least... at least let me change out of my costume before you beat me up...!"

Hibari watched Tsuna silently. And then, his eyes darted down to finally take in the clothes Tsuna had been wearing in all its glory.

Hibari froze.

Tsuna gazed at dark haired man cautiously, wondering what was going on through the prefect's mind. Perhaps... perhaps he was thinking over the possibility of letting him change out of his costume before beating him up? He chuckled grimly to himself. Actually, he'd rather not be beat up at all... but... apparently he had disturbed Hibari by kicking him out of a tree. And if someone ever kicked Hibari Kyouya out from a tree, they would not be getting off easy. The boy gulped and said meekly, "Hibari-san...?"

Suddenly, a faint voice called from afar. "ROOOOMEEEOOOOO! OH, ROOOOMEEEOOOO! WHERE ARE YOUUUU?"

A bead of sweat ran down Tsuna's head. That... was onii-san calling... but by being that obvious, Hibari could easily run away...

"Umm..." Tsuna scratched his cheek slowly. "Hibari-san... I think maybe you should go... since you didn't want to be Romeo. People are looking for you, so... you should probabl--mph?!" He was cut off by someone's lips upon his own. And his eyes blinked several times as he seemed to register at the back of his mind that Hibari Kyouya (the Hibari Kyouya!!) had just swept in to claim his lips. Just as quickly, the dark haired prefect drew back again. Tsuna continued to stare at him, eyes wide in confusion. A small blush surfaced upon Hibari's cheeks.

"...practice..." The young man muttered as an explanation and then he brushed past Tsuna hurriedly, heading back to the main campus.

Tsuna gaped at the spot Hibari had just been standing at. His face burst into red and the little boy sank to his knees, skirts puffing out underneath him. Uhh... just what had that been...?! Hibari-san had just stolen a kiss from him?! And wait... practice? That was practice?! Then... Hibari-san was going to be his Romeo...

Tsuna's eyes rolled to the back of his head, mind overloading from the insanity taking place right before his eyes. And the poor little boy fell forward into the grass, completely and utterly weakened by the days events. "Urrrgh...

AN: Har har, Hibari was caught up in a Shakespeare Moment...!
Okay, I have to finish off their actual performance now...
