DUN DUN DUUUUN! Chap 11! A miracle! I might actually finish something for once that's not a oneshot! MIRACLE! Only a handful of chapters left. I think I said that before. Who knows? But yus. Only a few left. A BIG THANKS TO ETSUUKO FOR LETTING ME TORTURE IZUMI AND SKANAKO SINCE CHAPTER 2! If you loved their little moments here, check out how much more awesome they are in her The Masses story. Along with Fringe, Akane, and Reminal. And... other peeps.

Disclaimer: Haha. I misspell disclaimer the first two times I tried typing it out here. Um... I don't own Air Gear. Sadly. There would be many changed if I did.

After an intense Google search, Spitfire found a nearby shelter for animals. He picked up his phone, dialing in the number. If he could get someone to drop it off, saying he had broken his leg in an auto accident, would it work? "Yes, hullo. I'd like to adopt a cat. Uh huh. Yes. I live alone, why? Erm... thank you? I know I have an accent. And that it's sexy. Yes, I get that a lot. No, you aren't the first. What do you mean you can't help me gt a cat? Don't you work there? No, it doesn't matter what kind of cat, just a cat." Was this even getting anywhere? "Yes I can wait a day to get one. Okay. Thanks. No I don't want to go out. I already have a girlfriend and we're very happy together." He hung up the reciever. Hopefully that last part didn't get back to Simca. She might get the wrong idea.

Agito prowled the city streets, Akito between him and Akira. If he was an annoying little fluffball of a kitten, where would he go? As if reading his mind Akito spoke up. "Let's try the fish market. He might be hungry and head there." Thank god for Akito's mind. Agito and Akira would be wandering the city for hours before either of them had thought of that. The three changed direction. "I hope he's okay." There was a grunt in response from Agito. The kitten had better be okay, making him run around the city like he was.

And he could hear it now. Who wouldn't be able to hear that whining mew of Kippy's? Agito picked up the pace, leaving Akito and Akira behind. If anything was within five inches of that white and black feline it was getting a taste of his claws.

It was poor Izumi's unlucky day.

At the mere sight of someone holding Kippy, without a second thought Agito threw himself upon his unsuspecting prey. Claws dug into the flesh oh Izumi's leg, fangs going for the side. While the Rocket Dog's pants helped somewhat with the dulling of the sharp fangs and claws, there was still major pain.

He yelped, shifting all his weight to the leg not being clawed to death. "What the heck?! Gerroff, kitty!" But Agito would not let go. By this time the other two had arrived on the scene. Akira rushed into battle with his friend, biting at the back of Izumi's heel. What the heck was with the cats and attacking him these past few days?! Was it something he ate? Even his poor 'Bessie' was biting at his hand.

Wait. Did that blue cat look a lot like Agito? Izumi paused in confusion and curiosity. It was exactly what Agito-cat needed. He clawed his way up the poor Osaka kid's leg, lunging at the bare flesh of Izumi's arm. Again, Izumi yelped, this time dropping the little kitten. "Bessie! NOOOOOO!" His cat had left him. Bit him. Sent two cronies after him to tear his skin off bit by bit. With this thought, and the strange familiarity of the cat in mind, Izumi turned to head home, blood dripping from the cuts on his skin.

He got home, finding Sakanako right where he left her earlier. Did she have anything important to do? She looked up from the magazine she had been reading. "Did you get in a fight with the cash register again?" She gave him a look, going back to reading.

"Sakanako, I think I saw Agito."

She turned a page. "Really?" Sakanako didn't sound all that interested. It was usual to see Agito run rampart around the city. It just... was.

"He was a cat."

Now she looked up once more. "I think you've been eating too many hotwings again."

Agito snorted at the little cat rubbing against his legs, purring. "Akito," he growled as a warning to the other Nebelung kitten. He lifted a paw as Kippy rubbed against it once more.

Akito laughed, resting his tail on Kippy's head. "Come on, Kippy! Let's go back. You can annoy Butch and Ikki."

The little white cat looked up at Akito, then up at Agito. As if giving a little kitten shrug, he turned, bounding after Akito and back towards the main camp for the rebel strays.

That left Akira and Agito alone in the city. "The usual recon routine?" Akira questioned with a small smile. When Agito gave him a look from the corners of those yellow eyes, he knew the answer. "The usual it is then."

They crouched down, slinking through the shadows of the city. The two separated, taking either side of the street. Not a glance was thrown towards the other feline, all attention focused on the street ahead. Ears were constantly turning, scanning the cold silence for any trace of dog claws against the hard ground. Sensitive noses constantly searched the air.

Slowly they traversed through the streets, searching for the horrible scent of the dogs. As soon as it reached their nostrils, their noses wrinkled. That scent. It was enough to make any beast run and cower. But Agito and Akira were not the ordinary beasts. Sucking up the pain and the burning feeling in the back of their noses, they pressed onwards into the canine territory. Fur on end and claws unsheathed they kept to the shadows now more than ever.

Both of the felines pressed themselves close to the walls as two dogs passed, both short little hunting dog breeds. "I smell c-c-c-c-c-c-c-cat," one stuttered, stopping to scratch at his ear.

"It's just your imagination," the other gruffed. "No cat would dare step into our territory. They know what would happen." Lips lifted and bared fangs in a doggy smirk.

Annoyed with the canine thought process, Agito gave Akira a look and a small nod. Slowly, they snuck up behind the opposition. And, in a unison only Akira and Agito could achieve, they pounced, claws digging into the shoulder fur of the two dogs. They went down from the extra weight and the surprise. With a small smirk Akira jumped onto the maw of the little dog, a resonating smack echoing as lower jaw met street. Agito bit into the ear of the dog he ambushed, holding on while the dog thrashed around until it ran its own head into a dumpster.

"Hey! What was that?!" the echoing voice of another dog called out.

"Dunno. Let's go check it out."

With mayhem accomplished, Akira and Agito bounded off back to where the others were. This would leave the dogs wondering.

I really wouldn't ask. Boredom set in. Sorry. But it is getting closer to the end! I swear!
