Secret #6

Secret #6: She might say that she hates him, but inside she would die without him.

"You smug bastard!"

"Jen calm–"

"Don't you dare tell me to calm down Jethro! I can't believe you told Dinozzo!"

"I didn't tell him anything Jen, he saw last night when he was on protection duty at your house. It's not my fault you can't close a door properly."

"Well I think I'm entitled to a knock no matter what when I'm in my own house!"

"Dinozzo heard a crash, he came to see what happened. If you had locked your door maybe you would have had time to cover up or tell him you were fine."

"That doesn't explain how he saw it."

"From what I hear you weren't wearing much. Why exactly is that Jen? You get cold at night. Planned on inviting someone into your bed to keep you warm?" She was just about a second away from smacking that smirk off his face.

"Well I guess we'll never know. And it would have been nice if I had been informed that you and Tony were switching shifts!"

"Ahh, so that's it. This wasn't even about him seeing your little tattoo. You're…frustrated."

That was it. "Get out! Get out, get out, get out!"

"Come on…"

"I swear Jethro if you know what is good for you, you will get out of my office right now."

"But –"

"God I hate you sometimes. Will you please just leave?!"

She didn't even flinch as she heard the door close, not ready to make herself feel guilty for what she had said. She went to her bathroom to splash some water on her face, right as she turned off the water she felt it.

"Shit."

--

Gibbs looked down to see who was calling.

"Hello" he drawled.

"Jethro…I need a favor..and Cynthia has gone home for the night."

--

He burst through her office fifteen minutes later, drug store bag in hand.

"Got you the usual kind. Even picked up some Advil and Mydol."

Jen sighed in relief. "Jethro what would I do without you."

"And here I was thinking that you hated me."

She knew he wasn't trying to be mean, make her feel guilty, but she still cringed at the thought of what she had said earlier. "You know I could never hate you. I guess now we know I was just PMS-ing."

"Yeah…you definitely were."

"You're still not off the hook for what happened with Dinozzo…and leaving me frustrated. At least he doesn't know what it means."

"I'm pretty sure him and the team called in Abby for her assistance in figuring it out. Apparently she is a bit of an expert when it comes to things of this subject."

"Interesting. You know what? I think we're a bit overdue for a Sexual Harassment Seminar. But I was thinking of scheduling it for a Saturday morning. We rarely catch cases on those days. Besides, your team has the weekend off in a couple of weeks. I think that would be a good time. Then I know you'll be able to attend since you so tragically missed the last one."
