If you would have asked Jerry Russo how he thought his kids would turn out, there would have been a very different answer. Even if you asked him two years before. Of course it would have been the same for Thereasa, but she grew up with the same situation her children faced and presented her with. So it came to Jerry as no shock when she jumped at the chance to help the family work it out. Yet Jerry was a little harder to sway for Tera to work with her own little magic. All the while, she told her kids to not worry.

Max Russo loved telling the story. Especially how he tied into his siblings's heated love affair behind their parents backs. How they told him to cover for them when they went out. How he stuck by them through everything even though he was the little brother, he was their confident. Until Thereasa caught them all. That's when things took the turn around and all three Russo kids feared the worst. Yet it didn't take long before their fears became nothing but wind and loosely hung sentences. Max could not press himself onto his parents or siblings unless they asked or were worried for or about him. He wouldn't change for anybody and Tera helped that. As for Justin and Alex, their relationship swayed at first, but Thereasa promised them a way. They could be together...stay together...for as long as they kept it known only in a close, tight circle. They agreed to this and it took a good while for both Jerry and Harper Evans (not to mention Miranda Hampson, who still stayed close friends with Justin) to adjust. But in time, Harper got a full-time job at the sub station and her and Alex's friendship grew a little stronger each day.

When Alex's eighteenth birthday came, around Max surprised both her and Justin by ordering a spotlight for rental that day and arranged for Jerry to speak before playing So Close only to have a shocked Alex see Justin walk in a week early than when he was supposed to be back home from college. She looked from Max to Jerry and Thereasa in tears. Justin and Max just grinned.

After Justin graduated, the three Russo kids had a dramatic wizard competition in which Justin won. But his love for his sister complicated things. Twenty-four hours later, Max was the family wizard.

Now you may think the story starts or ends here, but it doesn't. See as much trouble and surprised rocked the Russo's lives, they stuck it out like a family the way they should. But it didn't mean that their life because easy and just stopped there. It just meant that they'd have to try harder. Life was tricky...and for the Russo family, it was about to get a little bit trickier.

Short prologue. Hey, some are long, some are short and it all depends on the writer. Reviews make me happy and continue and I would very much like to continue this story.
