Me: "Hah, last chapter. Finally. To tell the truth, I kind of got fed up with this story. I thought it would never end"

Drew: "Then why the heck didn't you just said something along the lines ; 'end of story'?"

Me: "That wouldn't be a good end, now would it?

May: "She does have a point there, Drew"

Drew: "Yeah, right. Probably when pigs fly"

Me: "Can be arranged!"

Pig flies in, makes a circle and flies out again

Drew suddenly stands up and walks away.

May; "Drew? Where are you going?"

Drew: "To see a shrink"

Me: "Right...May, you do the disclaimer.

May: "Riikani doesn't own Pokemon and probably never will"

Me: "That's right, unless somebody has very good connections, I won't"

May: "Last chapter! Enjoy!

Chapter 20: The night builds something new between us and Epilogue

May and Drew sat next to each other, in silence as they watched the sun.

Feelings were mixed; on one side they wanted to walk away and pretend nothing had ever happened. That would probably the best option, though they weren't sure if they could. And they didn't even have to ask each other about it.

On the other side, they felt content sitting there, even if they said nothing. But it was a fact the silence remained and felt in some kind of twisted way awkward.

"Drew, what has happened between us?" May asked softly.

Drew looked at her surprised, and confused.

"We never used to shout at each other like this" she said and turned her face to him; "and there was never such an awkward silence as well" she almost plead to him. She didn't want to be like this, Drew had been a great friend for her, even if he was a little bit rough at the edges.

Drew looked away; "I don't know May, guess we've been...apart for too long" he answered.

May looked away as well; "So we'll never go back to how we were before?"

Drew shook his head; "No" he said resolute; "There has definitely happened too much...between us I mean"

"I see" was her response before the silence returned once again.

The sun was now almost completely gone, and purplish strikes colored the blue velvet sky. Stars were slightly twinkling.

"Drew?" May asked once again.

Drew sighed and kept his eyes closed as he turned to her.

"Hm?"

But his eyes snapped open when he found a pair of the softest lips he could ever imagine on his. May was kissing him softly and he could do was blink; too shocked to react.

May pulled away, and blushed. "I love you Drew, I only whis I could've told you sooner"

This time it was Drew who kissed her, clearly more passionate than last time. And May kissed him back, without any second thoughts.

After a short while they broke away; the need for breath was too urgent.

"I've waited too long to be able to say this to you; but I love you too May; more than anything else" he pulled her in and closed his arms around her; "And whatever you do, just don't walk away from me ever. You know I'll search the whole world for you anyway" he confessed.

May smiled as she knew this was no lie. "You won't leave me? No matter how I look?" she asked

Drew smirked; "Well, there are a few exceptions on that point" May gasped shocked, and Drew's smirk became even bigger; "As long as you don't start to look like one of my fans or Harley in that case; I won't"

He shrugged; "Besides, you didn't scare me away the way you looked before as well, now did you?" he joked.

May punched him lightly on his arm as he laughed. Then she jumped up and she started running away, leaving a startled (and truthfully scared) Drew behind.

It didn't take him too long to catch up with her though; "Where are you running this time from?" he asked curious.

May smiled and Drew felt that fluttering in his stomach again.

"Not from but to" she answered. Drew raised one of his brows; "Have you bought a riddle book when I was gone?"

May laughed and grabbed his hand, pulling him with her; "I want to get to Elub, there's a certain professor I have to tell another story"

Drew laughed as well; "I think he'll be all too happy about it"

Epilogue;

Professor Kardi sighed as he leant back in his chair.

Absent-mindly he stroke his head, with the feeling he became a little more bald.

He softly smiled at the picture on his desk. He didn't have any children, let alone grand-children, but thos two came pretty close.

There were two pictures in the frame; one from years ago, were a girl happily hugged a boy while doing the peace-sign, the boy looked pretty annoyed but not angry; as if he was used to it.

The other one he had received recently.

He read the letter he got with it once more again;

Dear Professor Kardi,

It's been a long time already, since we first met (well technically you met Sora but oh well).

I've got great news; Drew and I are getting married!! Bet you didn't see that once coming did you?

I've read your book and it was really good. It was a good thing you've called Ash I guess. He seems pretty stupid but does know a lot. I wonder if it's all an act. Hear me jabbering about some useless things.

Well, I've got to go; we're going to another city, and Drew wants to leave early so we'll be there by nightfall.

Better wake him up then.

I hope I'll hear something soon.

Yours sincerely May

Kardi laughed, he did not know what those two did the evening before writing the letter (and he did not want to know as well) but it was sure a strange thing May was up already while Drew was still sleeping.

He knew that from previous letters; in which Drew had complained about May sleeping in.

He looked around contently, it was just his study but enough for him.

Kardi was glad that May had read his book. Ten years ago, May had called him about Vovori and what had happened. He had decided to form all stories to a book.

He had called Ash Ketchum who had helped him big time.

And now it was finished and published. He closed his eyes; everything was as it should be.

Me: "Done, done, done. We're finally through. I want to thank everyone who reviewed; YOU ARE THE BEST. I never had thought I would get over 150 reviews. Please be sure to read my other stories as well.

I was getting tired of this story, and since I think I finished it perfectly; there won't be a sequel. Did you notice? I never make sequels to long-shots
