Maui Airport

8:30 PM

Alicia sat at the terminal waiting for the flight attendants to announce the departure time of her flight. She fidgeted uncomfortably in the waiting area; she couldn't help but think of Josh's and the PC's faces when they heard the news of Alicia's sudden disappearance.

She just couldn't take this vacation anymore! She thought that Maui would bring relaxation and a great tan, but quite honestly it was anything but relaxing. And she hadn't even had time to tan!

She just had to text them. Well not Josh, but the PC. She lifted her Prada bag up to her lap and searched for her phone. She pulled out her Limited-Edition iPhone and texted the PC:

Alicia: Leaving Maui. Plane leaves in 45.

Immediately she felt relief.

Dylan: Why???

Ughhh… did she really have to explain? Wasn't this vacation feeling like hell for anybody else?

Alicia: 2 much DRAMA.

That pretty much wrapped it up, she thought. D-R-A-M-A was wearisome, and you know what that does to a girl's beauty. It sure has taken a toll on Alicia!

But that's when it hit her…

She had been running her whole life; all because of drama. She ran from Westchester. She ran from college. And most importantly, she ran from one thing she was sure of: the man of her dreams.

Alicia: Never Mind. I'm coming back. I've had a revelation.

Alicia grabbed her purse and slung it over her shoulder as she made her way out of Maui Airport.

Massie: Good. Or else you would've missed my WEDDING!

Ehmagawd! Massie was engaged to Derrick. Wow, she moved fast! Alicia did feel a hint of jealousy though. She always thought that she would be the first PC member to get married. Actually… she was the only PC member not in a relationship!

Claire: Eh

Kristen: Ma

Dylan: GAWD!

Alicia: Congrats! Can't wait to help you with decorations!!!

What fake excitement, she thought to herself.

Massie: TTLY! I better go, Derrick and I are going to look at churches. L8R!

Alicia revved up the engine to her yellow Ferrari and blasted the radio to Battlefield by Jordin Sparks as she made her way onto the parkway. She had to get to the hospital before Josh! If he had gotten that letter… it would be over.

These times when we climb so fast to fall again,

I don't want to fall for it now…

I never meant to start a war,

You know I never want to hurt you…

Don't even know what we're fighting for,

Why does love always feel like a battlefield?

As Alicia pulled into the hospital parking lot, she caught a glimpse of Josh's car.

"Crap."

Why does love always feel like a battlefield?

Josh's POV

Josh couldn't wait to get back to Alicia. He wouldn't of even left if she hadn't insisted! But she urged him to go and get some lunch. She said he needed a break.

He pulled into the parking lot and parked his BMW next to the entrance. He grabbed the soup he had picked up for her. It was her favorite.

Josh strolled into the hospital and made his way towards Alicia's room. He had really gotten to know his way around this place.

"Mr. Hotz!"

Josh turned on his heels as he heard a woman calling his name. It was the receptionist, holding a letter.

"Darlene." he said with a greeting smile showing off his pearly-whites.

Darlene blushed and looked down at her feet. "Alicia's not there. She left this morning. She told me to give this to you." she informed.

A confused look came upon Josh's face when he heard the news.

"What do you mean… she left?" he asked, very slowly, barely managing to get the words out.

"The letter probably explains it." she responded as she handed over a folded piece of paper. It was Alicia's personalized stationary. She only used it when it was important. He knew it had to be serious.

He began to worry. Had something happened with her family? One of the PC?

He tore the letter out of Darlene's hand and opened it up.

Dear Josh,

I am so very grateful for all that you have done for me over the past couple of days. You have no idea much I appreciate you for this.

However, I've sensed tension between us. Things aren't the same. I don't think they'll ever be.

I feel like this relationship has become one-sided. You seem to really like me, and that just makes this so much harder.

You're such a great guy. Don't blame yourself. I've come to realize that I'm just not in love with you anymore. I was in love with the memories.

Oh, how I wish we could rewind to Senior Year in High School! That really was the time of my life.

I've made the decision to leave. I'm sorry. I'll never forget those times we've had together.

Love,

Leesh

He couldn't believe it. He hadn't seen this coming. He thought that they were going to last. He thought that they were in love.

How dare she say this relationship was one-sided! She made it sound like he had become obsessed with her or something!

He crumpled up the note and threw it to the ground. Then he opened up the soup he had brought for Alicia and poured it all over the carpeted ground until Alicia's personal stationary had become saturated with chicken-noodle.

"Good riddance." he spat as he turned on his heel towards the exit.

Suddenly, a girl ran right into him, knocking him off of his feet and onto the ground.

"Watch where you're going!" he barked as he unsteadily got back onto his feet.

"I'm so sorry." a girl apologized, grabbing onto his hand helping him gain his composure.

Josh suddenly realized that this girl was Claire! And she was crying!

"Claire?" Josh asked.

Claire sniffled a bit and tried her best to act natural as she nodded her head.

"What's wrong?" he asked, feeling a sudden bit of sympathy for Claire.

"Cam." she said as her blue eyes began to fill up with tears yet again.

Oh, Claire. She really never had had the best luck with relationships.

"What happened?" he asked.

This is when she broke down into sobs.

"H…he doesn't l…lo…ve me any…m…ore." she managed. Tears rolled down her cheeks and mascara marks began to become visible. Josh had never seen her like this.

He opened his arms, inviting her to a hug. She put her into his chest and cried… cried until she couldn't cry anymore.

They must've stood there for at least a half hour. But it didn't seem like it. Josh rested his chin on-top of Claire's head, as she rested in his arms. He smelled the sweet scent of her golden-blonde locks… coconut.

Occasionally she looked up at him, and they would stare into each other's eyes for a couple of seconds.

Claire's gaze said "thank you", and Josh's said "it'll be okay".

When Claire finally stopped crying, she once again looked up at him and into his big brown eyes. But this gaze was different; it lasted for a couple minutes.

Josh suddenly felt an attraction towards Claire that he had never felt before.

He leaned down and brushed his lips up against hers as she granted access. He deepened the kiss and placed his hands on Claire's tiny hips. Claire began to play with his hair and moved closer to him.

However, they had no idea that Alicia was watching them with big ol' mascara marks running down her cheeks.

I promise I'm going to be updating more because school's out on Monday!!! Woohoo!
