Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto, the Akatsuki would have dominated the world by now instead of dying.

A/N: So this is a brief oneshot I felt like writing. I will update my other stories. I promise. I just needed to write something like this first. Yaoi. Don't like, don't read. If you read, please review. If you don't review, but you read it, you're just being selfish by not telling me how I did. Love you! No, really. I really do love you guys! I don't hate you or anything… Just so you know, this may be the last thing I post for a while. I start school soon. Like really soon and I have a lot left in this one book I was supposed to read, so don't expect anything new anytime soon.

Deidara searched many places for his Danna and did not succeed. He had looked many places, but he would look in many more by the time he gave up. Sasori had been his only friend at the Akatsuki, even if they didn't act like friends. Deidara had even felt something more for his partner, but he would never admit it. Not even to Sasori.

He stumbled across a loose rock and fell down a hill landing with a thud at the bottom. He let out a string of curses and picked his head up out of the dirt. What he saw shocked him. His Danna. Lying on the ground. And there were two swords protruding from his heart.

"Danna un." Deidara said, fighting back tears. What happened to eternity? Deidara had never believed in eternity, but Sasori was slowly changing his mind about that. He had believed that Sasori would always be there for him, not dead. He wasn't supposed to die, yet there he was.

"Danna!" Deidara repeated, not being able to hold back tears now. He had hoped no one would find him there, crying over Sasori's death. Sasori's puppet was still motionless.

Deidara walked over next to him and picked him up bridal style. He wasn't sure where he was bringing Sasori, but he couldn't stay here. Not where his Danna had died in vain. Deidara walked away to a cluster of nearby trees and heard water rushing by him nearby. He set Sasori down in the grass, propped up against a rock.

"Why un?" Deidara asked. He didn't find this fair. He was alone in the world now. No one would be there when he was in need. Deidara was about to get up and leave to go back to the hideout, leaving Sasori where it was peaceful. Even if his Danna was gone, that didn't mean the puppet had to vanish. It would live on in peace here. Uninterrupted by anything.

That was when he noticed a small piece of paper protruding from the encasement of Sasori's heart. Deidara picked it up and unfolded it. By now his tears had stopped, but there was still a feeling of emptiness in his heart that would never vanish.

The first thing he read was 'Brat.' Deidara then knew that he should continue reading, not worried about intruding in Sasori's personal belongings. Deidara then read the rest of the note written in Sasori's elegant script.

Brat,

I love you.

Those four words lightened Deidara's heart, but made him miss his precious Danna even more than before.

"I love you too un." Deidara whispered, hoping that wherever Sasori was now, he would hear Deidara's confession.

A breeze came over the meadow, playing with Deidara's hair. The note slipped out of his hand and blew away in the breeze, but before it was gone he saw one last sentence that was added on at the back.

And never forget it.

A/N: There was a bunch of symbolism in that… I know. I use a really weird form of symbolism that is very small but subtle. So let me know if you liked it! It was fun to write and (slightly) fulfilled my desire to write a SasoDei angst story. Bye! (For now…)
