PG-13

Summary: A cute six part drabble series that's pure fluff. Zack is smitten. Awww.
A/N: Written for Phoenix Dayze for Valentine's Day. (And I just now realized I never posted it to this site. Sheesh.)

Part One: Spell Check

"What spell was that?"

Zack grinned. "Fire spell?"

"Zack."

He winced. The spell hadn't worked, if the look on Angeal's face was any indication. "Sir?"

"You aren't holding a Fire materia."

Zack glanced down at the materia in his fist. "You're right. I…must've grabbed the wrong one…"

"What materia is that?"

Zack shoved the globe in his pocket. "Just something out of the student cabinet."

Angeal didn't look convinced. "I've never seen pink materia before."

"Yeah…I'll just go put it back. And, uh…get the right one." Zack ran before the look on Angeal's face went from doom to certain death.

Part Two: Misspelled

Zack tried from a distance this time. Squinted. Aimed. Fired.

He cursed, ducking down behind the wall. Genesis. Shit! He wasn't there a second ago. Zack peeked up over the wall. Genesis's eyes were glazed, his face slack until he looked at Angeal. Zack paled. No. This isn't how it's supposed to work! But he couldn't stop watching, not when Genesis smiled—a sweet smile—or even when he leaned in toward Angeal and kissed him.

Zack groaned again, and…

Too loud.

Angeal's head turned, eyes scanning the wall.

Zack slid to the ground and hoped he hadn't been seen.

Part Three: Expelled

"A love spell, Zack? Do you know what that could have done to Genesis? Those things are near impossible to remove!"

Zack hung his head and stared at the floor of Angeal's office. "I didn't mean…"

"Why did you do it?"

Zack shook his head. "It wasn't supposed to be like that!"

"Like what, Zack? You know what love spells are, what they do."

"Yeah, but…"

"And why Genesis? You've never displayed the slightest interest in him before this."

"It wasn't…" Zack hung his even head lower. "The spell wasn't meant for Genesis."

Angeal was silent. Then, "Get out, Zack."

Part Four: Dispelled

Angeal studied the materia. It didn't look like the materia used for love spells. He frowned. He never had seen a pink materia before. Where had Zack gotten this? And…why…

Why was a stupid question. There was only one reason Zack would put a love spell on him. This is not the way to go about handling a crush. It made Angeal smile though. He'd been too hard on the kid. He wasn't exactly…approachable, after all.

Angeal looked at the materia again, allowing his mind to fall in tune with it. His eyes widened. This…

Shit.

He had to find Zack.

Part Five: Spell it Out

"It's not a love spell."

Zack looked up at Angeal from his place at the base of the wall. He shook his head. "No."

"Where did you get it?"

"Aerith."

"Ah." Angeal sat down beside Zack. "I'm…"

"No." Zack shook his head again. "You were right. I shouldn't have used it, but…you work too much. You're too tense. She said it was a spell to make you relax."

"It is."

"But…Genesis…"

Angeal snorted. "Sex is relaxation for Genesis."

"Oh."

"It's a nice spell. Feels great."

Zack's eyes widened. "You used it?"

"Zack…

"Huh?"

Angeal smiled. "I cancelled all your classes."

Part Six: Spellbound

They were in Angeal's apartment now, and Angeal hadn't lied; it was a nice spell. He was relaxed enough that he wasn't worried that Zack was his student and underage. All that mattered was that Zack was Zack and had a crush on him. He would probably care later, but for now Angeal just smiled and pulled Zack close and kissed him and laughed at the brash way Zack kissed back, tongue hot and invasive in Angeal's mouth.

Angeal pulled back. "Zack."

Zack shivered a little. "Sir?"

"Next time you want me to relax," Angeal grinned. "Try this method instead."
