Title: Just a Touch Bit Ironic

Pairing: Inuyasha x Kagome

Summary: This, to her, was home.

Note: This is just a little bit of something that came to me while I was reading an original fiction... Kagome was born in the present times -the future for Inuyasha- but she finds her true love in the past. It's really short and maybe a little pointless but I was just playing around. Hope you'll still like it!

A little ironic, Kagome mused as she gazed at the unspoiled beauty in front of her. Wild flowers bloomed on lush green grass as far as the eye could see.

She smiled as the gentle breeze of Feudal Japan blew by. Two strong arms tightened their grasp on her waist. She craned her neck and her blue-gray eyes met amber pools filled with so much tenderness that Kagome couldn't help but snuggle closer.

The sky grew darker with each passing second until the sun descended into its hiding pass the horizon, this beauty of nature was priceless. When the sun was finally gone Inuyasha stood up, pulling her along. He didn't relinquish his grip on her waist as he stood behind her. Not that Kagome was complaining, she rather liked him hugging her like this.

"I love you."

It was a soft whisper, almost just air brushing against her ear. She returned the sentiment with equal quietness. And she knew that she was content and happy living with Inuyasha and being his wife.

This, to her, was home.

Definitely, Kagome thought as she climbed on Inuyasha's back, it was a little bit ironic that she found her home five hundred years in the past.

A/N: Was it good? Bad? I'd really love to hear what you think! Please REVIEW!!
