Chapter 15. A family at last.
The next few weeks passed by in a blur of social service visits and seeing Siri as often as they could for Harry and Draco. They had each been thoroughly questioned by Mrs. Merryweather as had Narcissa, Severus, Remus and even Arianna once it was discovered the two had a daughter. Harry had been terrified that the woman would take the girl away from him but she had only talked to her for a bit and then brought her back to him. The little girl had been slightly upset by the questions but had been easily soothed by her papa and daddy.
Once a week they were allowed to see Siri at the Weasley home with a social worker present. The elder Weasley's had apologized to Harry numerous times for not believing him and were distraught that a grandson of theirs had been abused by one of their sons without them knowing it. Siri had never told them about how he was treated by Ron and Hermoine and Ron had been careful not to leave marks on the boy when he did hit him. The twins had once seen a bruise on his arm but Siri had convinced them he had gotten it rough housing with his younger brother so they had let it go.
How they wished now that they hadn't and had pushed the little boy to tell them the truth. To a Weasley family was everything and Ron's parents and his siblings had been outraged to discover what he had done to one of his children. Even Ginny had had some choice words for her older brother and his wife. The girl now married and a mother herself, had finally matured and, realized how badly they had treated Harry. She had been at the burrow during one of his visits and apologized for her part in all that they had done to him.
Harry had accepted their apologies but was reluctant to renew his relationship with them. They had hurt him deeply by their refusal to believe him, other than the twins, Bill and Charlie, and he was disturbed by how none of them noticed what was going on with Siri. True the three eldest Weasley boy's only really saw him on holidays but the others saw him fairly frequently yet none of them had even suspected anything. It made no sense to Harry and Draco who could see easily that he was thinner than he should be, a bit too pale, and much more timid then a normal five year-old.
Still Harry knew that despite their obliviousness they truly did care for the little boy which was why he had asked if the children could go to Molly and Arthur. He knew it would be less distressing for them to be together with their grandparents and in a place that they were familiar with. A place were they felt safe and loved and would be protected. None of those children needed to be in some cold, uncaring, ministry facility with an unknown amount of other children to get lost among and eventually forgotten about.
Siri was much happier with his grandparents who let him play with his siblings and cousins and only asked that he keep the room he was staying in clean. That however did not stop him from asking Harry every time he visited when he was going to get to go home with him and meet his little sister. Harry hated having to tell him that he needed to wait a little longer every time he saw him and leaving him behind but there was little he could do until a trial date was set. The social services witches seemed to be taking their time in getting all the information they needed before they took any further steps in deciding the children's futures.
Finally though nearly a month and a half after the incident Harry and Draco received a court summons for the following Thursday. At last everything would be decided and they would be able to bring their little boy home. His room was already for him and their wedding plans had been put on hold until they had their boy with them. Harry could barely concentrate on anything as he waited for Thursday to come and did his best to distract himself with the restaurant and his daughter, Draco doing the same with his work. He could tell the other man was just as anxious and excited about the court date as he was.
When Thursday came at last Draco had to force Harry to eat something for breakfast and then after kissing their daughter, promising to bring her brother home, they went to the ministry. Since Narcissa, Remus and Severus came with them they left Arianna with Blaise and Lavender, both of whom were ecstatic to see Harry again and to spend some time with their little girl. He and Blaise had easily rekindled their friendship from their school days and Harry remembered Lavender from the Gryffindor dorms though she had changed much since those days.
When they arrived at the ministry they were met by their lawyer who led them down to the courtroom. The wizard also informed them that the judge had had Siri brought to the trial to testify to his fathers abuse as Draco and Harry had only witnessed one instance of it. Both lawyers had argued against it, it was very unusual to have a child that young in court, but the judge had insisted the boy could be needed. He would however be kept out of the room until he was needed which made Harry feel at least a bit better about it.
"I hope it won't be necessary to have him here," Harry muttered as they sat down at the left hand side table, Narcissa and the others sat down in the row behind them. "I don't want Siri to be made upset by all this."
"Don't worry Harry, Siri, will have a social services representative with him at all times who won't let it go any further or longer than it needs too," their lawyer, Mr. Foxworthy, told them reassuringly. Harry frowned but nodded as the entire Weasley family (minus some wives and children) walked in. "Just relax this will all be over very soon and then you will have your son home with you again."
Harry nodded distractedly as he watched the Weasley's take their seats across from them. Ron and Hermoine sat at the table opposite them both looking tired and harried far different from the last time they had been in a place like this. Still Harry couldn't help thinking back to that day and how alone he had been. How hopeless he had felt with no one there to stand with him and how helpless he had been when the judge had decided to take his son away from him again. He didn't think he could bare that again and wasn't sure what he would do if he wasn't allowed to have his son once again.
"You're not alone this time Harry," Draco whispered in his ear, squeezing his hand at the same time. "We are all here with you and I promise it will end far differently this time than the last."
Harry smiled at him but before he could respond to him the judge entered the room. They all rose as an older woman in a black robe walked up to the judges seat. The woman, honorable Melissa Heathrow, had dark brown hair and soft brown eyes. Lines wrinkled her face but otherwise her age didn't show very much. She took her seat and everyone else sat down as well as she looked them over one by one. Her face betrayed nothing of her thoughts and feelings as she banged her gavel to begin the proceedings at last.
"This court is now in session. We are here to determine the custody of not only Sirius Potter but also of Eric and Marissa Weasley," the woman began looking at first at the Weasley's and then at Harry and Draco. "It was determined at the last court session nearly five years ago that Sirius be placed with his father, Mr. Weasley, however allegations of abuse and neglect have been brought against him leading this court to rethink that decision and the placement of all three children residing in that household. Lawyers you may begin."
"Thank you your honor," Harry's lawyer said standing up and turning to look at everyone gathered in the room. "Our claims are simple for over four years now Mr. Potter's son has been in the custody of his other father, a father it has been discovered now has been abusing and neglecting him along with his stepmother Mrs. Hermoine Weasley. Therefore we respectfully ask that full custody be given to Mr. Potter and his fiancé Mr. Black once Mr. Malfoy. As they have no rights to the other children in the household it is up to the court to decide what will happen with them."
"Your honor my clients are good, loving parents that would never do anything to harm their children," the Weasley's lawyer began gesturing toward the couple who were sitting beside him holding hands and looking tired and uncertain. "The witnessed incident was only a one time unfortunate lapse of judgment and temper on Mr. Weasley's part and has never and will never happen again. Nor do they deserve to lose any of their children because of it. Certainly not to Mr. Potter who has been out of the picture for nearly five years now and not at all concerned about the welfare of his son."
"The counsel has a fair point Mr. Potter you have been missing for almost five years now and have not once been to see the child in question," the judge mused looking at the black haired man thoughtfully. Her voice was soft and held no accusation only curiosity. "Before we go any further I would like to know where you have been and why you suddenly decided to return now after all this time."
"Your honor I am sure you are aware of the trial of Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott," Harry began standing and looking far more confident then he felt as he addressed the judge. The woman nodded well aware that the woman was in prison and the man no longer living in England. "Their crime was the reason I originally left. They waylaid Narcissa Black and Serverus Snape keeping them from my trial and used an illegal potion on Draco Black to make it seem as if he didn't actually care for me at all. I was devastated by this and the lose of my son and decided that I needed to get away from everything so I disappeared."
"It ended up being in some ways the best decision I could make. I managed to get back on my feet on my own and came into the the ownership of a restaurant and the apartment above it. I thought of my son everyday and wanted to see him more than anything but I stayed away because. . ." Harry hesitated for a moment faltering slightly until Draco squeezed his hand gently. "Because I was a coward your honor. I found out soon after I left that I was pregnant again and I was afraid that if Mr. Black found out about it he would take this child away too and I couldn't bear that. So I abandoned my son in order to keep my daughter a decision I have regretted everyday since. I love my son, he's everything to me, and if I had known about what his father was doing to him nothing would have kept me away. I am forever grateful that Mr. Black found me and told me the truth about what happened so that we could be reunited again at last."
"I see thank you Mr. Potter and I am sorry that due to the atrocious actions of others you felt it necessary to make such a decision regarding your children," the woman replied satisfied it seemed by his explanation. Gratefully Harry sat down again and Draco wrapped his arm around his shoulders. "I feel that you did not abandon your son because you wanted to but because you felt you had no other choice in order to protect your daughter and therefore will not use that in my decision of who Siri should live with now."
A half gasp came from the other side of the room at her announcement as Ron tired to stifle his reaction before it could be heard. Hermoine looked just as shocked and their lawyer slightly worried. Harry and Draco were sure that had been one of the main parts of their defense as to why Harry shouldn't have his son. Now that the judge had discredited it, it left them with very little else they could use. They knew however that it wasn't over yet and there was still a chance they could come out with something else to try to keep the man from his son.
"Now that, that has been cleared up we can continue with this case," the judge continued looking carefully between the two groups of people. "I have read the files from the service workers in this case and it is quite apparent that all three children are healthy and that no marks are bruises were found on any of them aside from young Sirius's cheek. However they also go on to say that Sirius is slightly underweight and shorter than he should be and that he is adamant about going to live with Mr. Potter. I therefore would like to hear more about this incident that was witnessed in the Weasley's home nearly a month ago now."
With that the trial began in earnest as the lawyers argued over what had happened and called their witnesses. Harry and Draco both described what they had seen and heard and how they had come between the man and the boy. How frightened and yet resigned Siri had looked and the rage on Ron's face and in his voice. Draco told them about how he would go to visit Siri and was upset about the amount of chores the boy had to do most of which he felt were beyond Siri's age ability. He was also grudgingly forced to admitted to Ron's lawyer when questioned that before that incident he had never seen the man hit his son nor any evidence that the boy had been hit by anyone in the past.
After them the elder Weasley's were questioned all of whom said that they had never noticed any abuse or neglect by Ron and Hermoine. However Harry's lawyer questioned them relentlessly until they were forced to admit that Hermoine had never seemed very fond of the boy and that Siri tended to stay away from both of them when they visited. Mrs. Weasley also admitted that the children before had never seemed to play with each other but that since coming to live with them Sirius and Eric had happily played together and with Marissa at times as well. Bill and Charlie agreed that the children seemed freer at their grandparents home and that Siri didn't seem to miss Ron and Hermoine at all only ever talking about his papa and daddy Draco.
Percy agreed with his brothers and admitted that he had worried about Siri with Hermoine as the woman had always seemed cold with him and unwilling to touch him unless she had to. The twins told of how they had seen a bruise once on Siri's arm but that the child had told them it was from roughhousing with his little brother looking back though the bruise seemed to big to have come from two little boys wrestling and they were now unsure if it may have actually come from their brother instead. Then Ginny took the stand and to the surprise of everyone told the court that Hermoine had confided in her that she hated Siri and had never wanted him but that Ron had insisted that he wanted his son with him so she had gone along with him but had never expected him to actually get the boy.
She told them of how the older woman refused to let him play with her children when she was around and of how Hermoine wouldn't let the boy even call her his stepmother in order to separate herself from him. However as far as Ginny was aware neither of them had physically hurt any of their children and it was very obvious how much they loved Eric and Marissa. Both of the younger children were always happy with their parents and spoiled by them. Neither she nor any of the other Weasley's believed that the two younger children should be taken from their parents but they were willing to agree that perhaps Siri would be happier with Harry.
Then it was Ron and Hermoine's turn to be questioned both about what had happened and how they had treated Siri. Hermoine went first and her lawyer did the first of the questioning. As she hadn't been in the room at the time of the incident she didn't really know what had happened but swore fervently that neither she nor her husband had ever physically hurt any of their children. She told the court what good and loving parents they were providing everything their children needed and more. That Sirius had always been a troublemaker and was known to break things if things didn't go his way. He would also pick on his younger siblings and take their toys away which was why she didn't like him playing with them.
She had tried she claimed to be a mother to him but the boy kept pushing her away in favor of his absent papa. He would refuse to listen to them and scream at them about how he wanted to live with Harry and Draco instead. The magic tantrums he would throw were terrifying and made all the worse by how Draco would spoil him and tell him horrible things about them when he would visit the child. Due to all of that she admitted that yes she had told Ginny she hated him and found it hard to be loving to him but only in a moment of despair not knowing what to do with a stepson that refused to behave. Harry bristled with anger as he listened to how she described his sweet little boy as some kind of menace that terrorized them all knowing that was as far from the truth as you could get and Draco wasn't much better.
"I see so your telling us that you and your husband could not control a five year-old child is that correct?" Mr. Foxworthy asked once it was his turn looking unimpressed with the woman's answers so far. Hermoine's face flushed but she nodded silently. ''How interesting then that the elder Weasley's have not been having any problems with him and have said that he's very caring and protective of his brother and sister as well. It seems odd to me that he would be described so differently by members of his family who have all spent a great deal of time with him Mrs. Weasley."
"As I said he was turned against us by Mr. Black and especially against me," Hermoine replied vehemently glaring at the blonde haired man who stared coldly back at her disgusted by her attempt to make him look bad. "I'm sure Sirius is very sweet and loving with others but with his father and I he's an uncontrollable terror. Ron and I have loved him and cared for him the best we can and we are good parents who don't deserve to have our children taken away from us."
"Which is why you gave Sirius a small attic room as far from the rest of the family as you could. Why most of the few toys and clothes he had were given to him by my client," the lawyer continued his voice rising slightly but still sounding conversational even as the woman bristled at his words. "Why you kept him separated from his siblings and made him do chores that were far past his age level. Unless you think it's appropriate for a five year-old who can't even see over the sink should be washing dishes and putting those dishes away. As well as pulling weeds and cleaning his siblings rooms just to name a few of the chores you had him do. And then when this child accidentally dropped a plate he shouldn't have been holding in the first place your husband believed it an appropriate response to slap said child in the face as punishment."
"My husband had come to the last of his patience after a week of Sirius throwing fits and breaking things just to spite us," the woman said shrilly as she tried to hold back her own temper. The lawyer said nothing glancing at the judge who was now frowning thoughtfully at Hermoine. "And no he shouldn't have hit Sirius but he has never done so before nor as he ever put a hand on any of the other children. He's a good, loving father to all three of them."
"I am sure he is Mrs. Weasley," the man replied with a small smile that seemed to do nothing but upset the woman even more. "No further questions your honor."
Judge Heathrow nodded and Hermoine stepped down returning to her seat beside Ron who took her hand in his. They took a twenty minute recess after that and then when they returned Ron took the stand. First his lawyer questioned him and Ron gave many of the same responses that Hermoine had about Siri. He claimed that he and his wife did everything they could for the boy and that Siri had chosen the attic room himself when they needed to move Eric into his old room. The chores he said were exaggerated and that he had grown up doing similar chores himself along with his siblings which Harry knew to be true but not the kind of chores he was making Siri do.
He described what had happened the day he hit Siri and of how the boy had been throwing a fit all morning because Ron had told him they couldn't go to the park because Eric hadn't been feeling well. That he had taken his lunch plate and deliberately thrown it on the ground in front of him and then Ron had hit him in a moment of rage. He admitted that he shouldn't have and that he was working on better controlling his anger but that he had never hit any of his children before that day nor ever would again. He regretted having slapped his son and hoped that his little boy would forgive him for it.
"It's interesting that you claim Sirius was throwing a fit that day when neither Mr. Potter or Mr. Black mentioned anything about hearing a child yelling when they entered the home and before rushing into the kitchen after hearing you yell," Mr Foxworthy told him as he took his turn with the questioning again. Ron frowned but said nothing as the man continued. "It makes one wonder if you were just trying to come up with an excuse for why you hit him since this was the first time you ever got caught."
"Everything I said is the truth it's not my fault if they didn't hear him," Ron snapped his face slowly turning red at the accusation. The lawyer only gave a slight nod of his head, his hands behind his back. "And I've never hit him or any of my other children before. Not my fault that boy is as bad as his father. If Potter was anything like Sirius I can almost understand why his uncle treated him the way he did."
"Really that's a bold statement to make Mr. Weasley. To claim to almost emphasize with a horrendous abuser like Mr. Dursley," Harry's lawyer replied as several gasps arose in the room. Harry's face had gone pale at his words and Draco had wrapped his arm around his shoulders holding him close. Ron's own face paled slightly as he seemed to have realized what he said as well. "I have no more questions your honor."
"Thank you Mr. Foxworthy I think we have heard enough from them now," Judge Heathrow agreed as Ron returned to his seat next to Hermoine looking ashamed of what he had said. "I am beginning to see the kind of people and parents the Weasley's are but before I hear more about the kind of parent Mr. Potter is I want to hear from young Sirius myself. Can someone please have the child brought in."
Harry's face darkened not wanting his son to be a part of this but said nothing as another court attendant left the room to get the boy. The man returned a few minutes later with Sirius and Mrs. Merryweather following behind him. The little boy looked scared and uncertain as he was lead up to the judge and Harry had to keep himself from taking hold of the boy and hugging him to reassure him. The judge smiled at the boy and conjured another chair at the stand so that the woman could sit next to the boy while he was questioned.
"Hello Sirius I am just going to ask you a few questions all right," Judge Heathrow began her voice soft and kind as she spoke to the little boy. Siri nodded and looked at Harry for reassurance who smiled back at him. "I want you to tell me about how your father and stepmother treated you and your siblings ok."
Siri hesitated looking at Ron and Hermoine who were both expressionless and then softly he answered her. He told her much the same as he had Mrs. Merryweather before. About how he was not allowed to play with his brother and sister and how Ron and Hermoine would ignore him most of the time. Also about how they would get upset with him if he did something they didn't like and especially if his magic acted up. He told about how Hermoine would sometimes lock him in his room for a long time and Ron would smack him when he was angry but that they never did that to Eric and Marissa. They were always loving and kind to the two younger children but didn't seem to like him.
By the time Siri was done he was crying softly and rubbing his eyes as he told them about what had happened the day his Papa came. Of how he had been putting away the lunch dishes when a plate had slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor. Ron had yelled at him telling him how useless he was and then had hit him on the face just as his Papa and Daddy ran into the room. How he had felt safe in Harry's arms and really wanted to go live with his Papa and his new little sister Arianna. The judge listened quietly to Sirius and then nodded to the social worker when he was done who lead him off the stand.
She brought him back down the walkway and was startled when Siri broke away from her and ran up to Harry in obvious distress. The black haired man picked the little boy up and cradled him against his chest rubbing his back reassuringly while his son cried in his arms. He knew how hard this had been for Siri to talk about his father and stepmother and especially right in front of them. It had been no easier for Harry to tell the court about what his relatives had done to him and he wished his son had never had to go through what he had.
"It's ok Siri, you did a wonderful job, everything's going to be fine I promise," Harry told him as the boys sobs started to slow and he looked up at him red faced and teary eyed. He gave his son a kiss on the forehead that made him smile a little. "I need you to go with Mrs. Merryweather right now but this is all going to be over very soon and then I will see again ok. Can you be brave for me for just a little longer Siri?"
Siri nodded reluctantly and Harry put him down again so he could walk over to the awaiting woman. The social worker took the child's hand when he reached her and the two walked out of the room again. Once they were gone the trial began with the focus now on
Harry instead of the Weasley's. The lawyers questioned Narcissa, Severus and Remus about him and what kind of parent they thought he was. All three of them agreed that he doted on his little girl and believed that he would be no different with his son as he hadn't been when he had him as a baby.
Remus told them about the time alone he had spent with Harry and Arianna and how much the little girl loved her papa. Narcissa about the time she had spent with him and baby Siri and how caring and responsible he was at even that young an age. That all of his concern had been for his son even with all that he had suffered at his uncles hands and being in school still. Severus was the most surprising as he adamantly declared that Harry was a kind and gentle soul who showed no signs of following his uncles deplorable example with his own children despite the abuse he had suffered as a child.
The judge listened to everything with the same thoughtful look on her face and then called another recess while she left to think over her decision. The Weasley's all left the room though Ron and Hermoine ignored their family as they left obviously upset over there testimony. Once they were gone Draco took Harry's hand and led him through the ministry to the cafeteria with the others in tow. None of them had eaten since that morning and Draco was determined to get some food into Harry.
He got a sandwich and treacle tart for them to share with pumpkin juice as well feeling almost like they were back at Hogwarts for a moment. The other's got there own food and they shared a quiet lunch each wrapped up in their own thoughts about the trial. Draco was fairly confident that if nothing else Ron would not be getting custody of Siri again after all that they had learned about what happened in their home. If he did then there was something seriously wrong with the system here and Draco would protest very vocally against it. Harry however still looked very worried and upset and getting him to eat anything was difficult to say the least.
Draco was insistent though and with the encouragement of Narcissa and Remus Harry reluctantly ate his half of the sandwich and a bit of the treacle tart. All Harry really wanted was to see his son, to hold him and never let go of him again, and continue to reassure him that he was a good boy and had done the right thing. But Siri was being kept in the child services department until after the trial was over and the decision was made so no one could see him yet. He hoped he was alright and that Mrs. Merryweather was making sure he wasn't to upset about everything. At least Siri didn't have to hear what Ron and Hermoine had said about the boy as well that would have upset him even more.
The recess lasted for two hours and then they were called back to the court room to hear the judges verdict. Quietly they walked back into the room Draco holding Harry's hand as they did. The Weasley's returned to their seats as well and the twins gave them a thumbs up as they sat down by their parents. Once everyone was seated the judge walked back into the room and took her place at the judges podium. Her hands were folded in front of her and for a moment she looked at each one of them her face unreadable.
"I have taken everything I have heard to day into account with my decision and after careful thought have come to the conclusion that at this time I can not in good conscience allow Mr and Mrs. Ron Weasley to have custody of any of their children," Judge Heathrow told them to the shock of everyone present. Hermoine burst into tears burying her face in her hands and Ron wrapped his arms around her pale and shaking himself with disbelief and anger. "Although I am quite certain you have never harmed nor would ever harm your two youngest children the physical, mental, emotional and verbal abuse you have caused your elder son is deplorable and it is my decision that you both need parenting classes and careful observation before I can allow any children back into your home. I have also decided that Ronald Weasley will spend the next three years in the higher levels of Azkaban and will pay reparations to Sirius for the damage he and his wife have done."
"Mrs. Weasley you will be serving time as well only your sentence will be ten years for the abuse and neglect of Sirius Potter and for the illegal ingredients you acquired for Ms. Parkinson who finally admitted under veritisrium that you were the one to get her what she needed for the potion she used on Mr. Black," the woman went on showing no compassion for the young man and woman who looked devastated by her words. The other Weasley's looked just as shocked and upset as she continued. "As to custody of the children although I find it upsetting that no one noticed what was happening to their grandson and nephew I feel that the two younger children Eric and Marissa should remain with their grandparents until Mr. Weasley is released from prison. At that time it will be decided if he should get custody of them again. Lastly full custody of Sirius Potter is awarded to Mr. Potter and it will be up to him if you or your wife ever see the child again though I hope he will at least allow the siblings to see each other."
Harry nodded in both shock and relief at the knowledge that his son would finally be coming home with him at last. A court attendent brought out official custody papers and once Ron and Hermoine signed them aurors came and took them away. Molly hugged Ron telling him that she hopped this time away would help straighten him out but seemed disgusted by Hermoine. Arthur said nothing to either of them and only gave a disappointed shake of his head as they were taken away. Ron's siblings didn't seem to know how to react but the twins hugged Harry and told him they were at least glad that he got his son back before they all left.
Harry and the others left the room and found right outside the doors waiting for them Siri bouncing with excitement having already heard that he was going to go live with his papa. He jumped on the man when he saw him and Harry lifted him in his arms joyful tears filling his eyes as he held him close. Draco took the shrunk down items that belonged to Siri from the social worker and then they all left the ministry to return home with the little boy they all loved. Blaise and Lavander were excited to see them but left quickly knowing that father and son needed some time alone together however they promised to come for another visit very soon.
Harry sat down on the couch with Siri the little boy looking around excitedly at his new home while Draco went to get Arianna who had been taking a nap. Severus, Narcissa and Remus all took seats in the room and happily started answering Siri's questions. He wanted to know everything he could about his old but new family not remembering them from when he was a baby and having never met Remus before. Severus had just finished telling him about how he would be teaching him potions when he got a little older along with his sister when Draco returned with the little girl in his arms.
Arianna had insisted on wearing her favorite purple dress and having her hair in curly pigtails wanting to look her best for her brother. The two children stared at each other as Draco put the girl on her feet next to the couch Harry was sitting on both uncertain and curious. Slowly Siri got off his papa's lap and onto the floor to stand in front of his sister. He looked unsurely at the adults around him and then before he could make a move the little girl was hugging him tightly with an excited squeal much to his shock.
"Hi big brother I've wanted to meet you for so long," Ariana told him grinning brightly at Siri who smiled and hugged her back looking up at his papa in wonder. "I's so glad you here now and we can play together all the time now ok."
Without waiting for a response the girl dragged the older boy over to a chest by the fireplace in the room and started taking out toys for them to play with. The adults laughed as Siri to stunned to do anything else followed his sisters orders and began playing with some figurines of Knights, Wizards, and princesses. Within minutes they were laughing and playing with each other as if they had known each other their whole lives. Draco sat down next to Harry, wrapping his arm around him, as they watched the children play each thinking that things were finally the way they should be.
After they let the children play for a little while Harry and Draco with help from Ariana, showed the boy his new room right next to his sisters. Siri was amazed by how big the room was and all the new toys and clothes they had gotten for him. He wanted to look at everything and kept showing the two men everything new he found in excitement forgetting that they were the ones who had gotten all of it for him. This continued until a house elf told them it was dinner time and then that night Draco and Harry put both of their children to sleep for the first time.
Arianna fell asleep right away but Siri took longer unused to the bed and room and asked them to lay with him for a while. Both men stayed with him for an hour until he fell asleep and then went into their own room. They were too tired to do anything but go to sleep themselves and both fell asleep quickly that night. Harry however was awakened a few hours later by a small body climbing into the bed next to him and he had to hold back a smile as Siri curled up next to him obviously hoping he wouldn't notice and make him go back to his own room. Harry wouldn't do that though and only wrapped his arm around the boy before closing his eyes again glad to have his son laying beside him once more.
Note: well there you have it the second to last chapter of this story and Ron and Hermoine have finally gotten their punishment and I hope it satisfied all of you. I also hope no one is to upset about Ginny's change of heart but I never planed for her to be that bed she was just hurt by what she saw as Harry's betrayal and following Ron's lead so growing up helped her realize how wrong she was. She also knew nothing about what Hermoine and Pansy had done. Any way hope you enjoyed and review, review review and keep an eye out for the last chapter that will have a bit about Harry and Draco's wedding and some flash forwarding I think.
