Momentary Decisions

"Why do you keep your eyes hidden from us, friend Robin?" Starfire asked out of the blue.

"I don't know..." Robin admitted. It was just as if he didn't feel whole without the mask, but he can't explain that to her, can he?

"Robin, you don't have to do this!" Beast Boy shouted as Robin half turned to walk away from them.

"Thanks BB," he smiled, "but I have to."

"Why?" Starfire asked.

"Because... I'm the only one who can stop him, and save him," Robin looked away. He already lost two people that he looked up to, Bruce won't be the third.

"Robin... please..." Starfire begged.

"Yeah man, we come with you too, y'know?" Cyborg came up. Raven was the only one who didn't say anything up to now.

"Too dangerous." That's all he said as he started to walk from them.

"At least tell ys who you really are, so we'll know who to look out for," Raven spoke up. Robin seemed a bit taken away, and Raven knew that he didn't want it to be so soon.

"I... I..." he stumbled. The others agreed with Raven, if he was going to go on a mission like that without them, at least tell them one thing about himself. They, after all, knew hardly anything about him.

"Alright." He reached for his mask and took it off, his eyes closed. Then he opened them, and shocking blue eyes stared back at them.

It feels weird without it. I guess it's the fact that I hadn't taken it off for such a long time.

"Dude...!" Beast Boy was the first to break the silence that descended upon the Titans as soona s their leader took off his mask.

"You're... you're..." Cyborg couldn't bring himself to say it.

"Dick Grayson!" BB finished up for Cyborg.

Starfire didn't listen to that. She just stared into his eyes. So beautiful, yet he kept them hiddden, why?

Raven was the only one who wasn't surprised. She knew who he was, she was in his mind after all. She knew about his parents, she knew about Bruce, about Batman, about... everything.

Robin nodded numbly and put the mask back on. The name alone spilled secrets he didn't want to share quite yet, but thankfully, it didn't spill too much.

"You don't have to do this," Raven said as she noticed the hint of fear in his eyes before he put the mask back on.

"I know, but I want to."

With that, he jumped off the building and let the sensation of momentary flying overtake him. He shot his grappling hook and glided towards the other roof.

This was going to be one long night...

Well? What do you think? I know it's short, but I wanted it to be like that, there isn't really much else to say, you know?

I hope I kept them in charater, more importantly, Starfire and Robin. Boy... those two are hard... XD
