Hair was everywhere. Dark, curly hair glared at her from every inch of his muscular body. She knew she should tear her eyes away, but she couldn't help looking at him in concern. Concern. Yup, that was it. Pure and simple concern for her best friend after everything he'd been through recently. They'd put him through Hell, and he'd come back to her only half the man he was.
She had a lot of work to do with him. She had to bring him back to his senses, and it was going to make matters a lot more difficult than they were the last time now that she was stuck with the Gen. X kiddies. She wondered sometimes why she had ever agreed to leave the X-Men and become a founding member of Generation X, but she knew Sean needed her. Irish might never admit it, but he needed some one besides the Frost Queen to watch his back and be there for him when every one else was driving him crazy.
Logan moved; Jubilee gulped. Her eyes grew as big as saucers and then so large that her blue orbs seemed ready to swallow the very moon within them. She tried to tear her eyes away and to move her head, but she was frozen to the spot, unable to move or even think.
She had known he was big, but she would never have dreamed that he was that big. She swallowed hard and fell, unwittingly, against the side of the plane for support. She'd never seen anything so big in all her life! She stared after Wolverine as he walked pass, seeing him in a new light she'd never wanted to see him in.
Kitty's laughter eventually broke through to her brain, and Jubilee cut her eyes slanted toward the older girl, the first girl to have held Wolverine's fatherly affections. That's all Logan had ever been to her -- well, that and the bestest friend ever, but never, ever in a million years would she have looked at him the way Kitty's lascivious grin and wicked giggling were now very much suggesting she had.
Jubilee shook herself with the firm reminder that it didn't matter how big it was. Even if it was as big as the Statue of Liberty, it didn't matter, because she'd never been on the receiving end. She loved her Wolveroonie with all her heart, but she would never look at him as a woman looked at a man.
Jubes' blue eyes flashed at Kitty. "That's a Helluva way to look at your father, Pryde!"
