Summary: The Doctor likes Disney movies, and Rose has to agree that sometimes they fit their life perfectly.

The Doctor and Rose walked back out towards the TARDIS after having said goodbye to her mum and Mickey. Rose was thinking over the last few hours, including the incredibly domestic Christmas dinner he'd sat through all for her benefit. She smiled as she remembered him up on that Sycorax ship, his new mouth running ninety miles an hour. Would he always be like that?

This new body of his, it was sort of… well, he'd said it right the first time: foxy. And long winded. And he had this strange penchant for Disney movies. He'd quoted The Lion King to the Sycorax, for goodness sake. She felt him squeeze her hand as they walked, and she looked up at him. He was smiling, and humming a song.

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic
TARDIS ride

A whole new world
A new
fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

Really, what choice did she have but to laugh with him and sing her part of the song?

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
that now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

They certainly got the "tumbling" part right, didn't they? She keeps singing, loving the silly parallelism to their lives.

A whole new world

The Doctor grabs her hands.

Don't you dare close your eyes

A hundred thousand things to see

Hold your breath - it gets better

I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world

Every turn a surprise

With new horizons to pursue

Every moment gets better

They'll chase us anywhere
There's
no time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world
A whole new world
That's where we'll be
That's where we'll be
A thrilling
chase
A fantastic place
For you and me

They ended the song together, a silly duet of Disney goodness. They were closer to the TARDIS now, and the Doctor was pulling out his key. She looked from the Doctor, to the TARDIS, and back to the Doctor, barely hiding her laughter as she considered his fascination with Disney movies. He must have heard her soft snickering, because he looked down at her with an indulgent smile on his face.

"What's so funny?"

Rose pointed to him, and then to the TARDIS. She then announced in her best booming voice:

"Phenomenal Cosmic Power…"

The Doctor looked at the blue police box and grinned at her.

"Itty bitty living space."

"Does that mean I get three wishes?"

She grinned up at him, sticking her tongue between her teeth as usual.

"No, but you can pick where we go first, if you'd like."

He opened the TARDIS door, and instead of following him right away, she stood by he TARDIS and rubbed her hand along the painted blue wood.

So much better than a genie's lamp, she thought. The man inside was a genius, if not a genie, and that was okay with her. He could perform magic tricks, too, if he wanted.

"Rose!"

She smiled to herself as she entered the TARDIS, parts unknown just waiting for them, her and her Doctor.

Yep, definitely better than a magic carpet ride.
