"Oh, Robert!" Giselle's voice carried on the winds of spring like one of her songs, carefree and lilting with wonder. "Look at that! Do you see it?"

The man in question raised his head, his eyes immediately resting on his girlfriend and his daughter lying flat on their backs, eyes glued to the sky in awe. Robert set his book on the ground, glancing curiously at the partly cloudy skies. "I... I see clouds?"

Morgan and Giselle glanced at each other with a secret smile before they both burst into giggles, amused at something that Robert didn't quite understand. He frowned at them, rubbing the back of his neck in confusion as he glanced from one to the other.

"What?"

"Daddy," Morgan was the first to recover enough to speak, "Of course there are clouds. Anyone can see those. But this one's special."

Robert's frown deepened as he once again tried to focus on the skies, looking at each cloud with a scrutinizing gaze, but no matter how hard he tried they all looked the same to him. "I don't get it."

A wide smile crossed over Giselle's face as she suddenly stood up, gliding over to him and clutching his hand in her's without any warning. Her fingers laced with his, and she tugged at it gently, beckoning with her other hand for Robert to follow her. "I can teach you."

She beamed at him, and Robert couldn't help but offer her a wide smile back as he pushed himself to his feet, groaning slightly at the sudden strain on his legs. He let himself be led by Giselle, watching her with curious amusement. "What are we doing?"

Giselle turned to look at him, her eyes sparkling in the way only her eyes could. "Watching the clouds." And just like that, she plopped back on the ground next to Morgan, releasing his hand and settling on her back, patting the spot next to her. "Come on!"

Robert's face fell just a bit. "Oh, Giselle, I don't know if-"

"C'mon, Daddy," Morgan rolled over onto her side, reaching across Giselle to thump him on the leg, "It's fun." Her earnest face peered at him, a toothy grin starting to etch across her face. "I'll show you the cloud that looks like Pip."

"Like... like Pip?" Robert chuckled to himself, shaking his head, "Is that what this is about? Shapes in the clouds?"

"Of course, Robert," Giselle stared up at him, her own broad smile appearing on her face, "What else would it be?"

Robert found himself grinning as he settled onto the ground next to her, shifting his head slightly to the side to breath in her hair, smiling against the side of her head. "Nothing else at all." Robert lowered his voice, whispering lightly against Giselle's ear, "I love you." He could sense the wide smile that spread across her face as he repositioned himself to look at the passing clouds, wondering how he could have never noticed the simple pleasures in life before his true love had landed on him... literally.

With a sidelong glance and a gentle grin, Robert glanced over at his daughter, his tone light, "So, Morgan, which cloud do you think looks like Pip?"

Light, fluffy Enchanted. :D I wanted to throw in some Morgan, since she's just an adorable character.

But is the ending as awkward as I think it is? It feels awkward. Maybe it's just me, though.

Anyway, this isn't as much as an introspective piece as my other two, but I hope you enjoy it just the same!
