A/N: Everyone's had problems with customer service before! Though this is a bit exaggerated...oh well! It is Mount Olympus, after all :) Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything of this story, not even the enchilada...
Chiron sighed happily as he placed the last piece in its proper place. He'd finally finished the 5,321 piece jigsaw puzzle of the Titan War. The things were selling like hotcakes on Mount Olympus, especially since another war was brewing just over the horizon.
The centaur paused. There, in the corner, was a hole. A missing piece! He'd only put together 5,320 parts of the puzzle! Frowning, Chiron searched all over the room, but couldn't find any trace of the missing puzzle piece.
He sighed. And after he'd spent a whole week of evenings on it, too! It all came down to this. Chiron picked up the box and noticed the address on the cover. Well, the least they could give me is a refund, he decided. After all, he'd spent a handful of drachmas on this whole thing.
Picking up a golden drachma, Chiron trotted over to a small fountain in the corner that was made just for Iris Messaging. He tossed the coin in, and then said, "Oh Goddess, please except my offering." The mist shimmered and Chiron recited the location he wanted: "Jigsaws R Us, Mount Olympus branch, 1891 Athens Street."
The mist shimmered some more, then a woman showed on the other side. "Jigsaws R Us, how may I help you?"
"Hello, I just finished your Titan War puzzle—"
"Oh, congratulations, sir! Would you like a free enchilada? On the house."
"No, that's not really—"
"Take a picture of it, send it in with your name and address, and you can enter a drawing for a free trip to Mount Olympus!"
"But all I want is—"
"Since you've finished one, why not try another? Revised editions are available."
"I'd just like a refund."
"Oh. How was it unsatisfactory? We'll send you the forms right away."
"Forms?"
"Yes. All complaints must be registered properly. Some are in it just for the money, you know."
"Look, how about just sending me the missing piece?"
"We don't manufacture individual pieces, sir. We could send you another box of the same puzzle, though."
"Okay. Will it cost anything?"
"Fourteen drachmas, plus shipping and handling. Where to, sir?"
"Fourteen? But that's more expensive than when I bought it last week."
"Inflation, sir; nasty thing. Now, who should we send it to?"
"Oh, never mind," Chiron sighed as he waved through the mist, severing the connection. "It's just one piece."
"Are you sure sir? The enchilada's still available…" the woman's voice faded away into nothingness.
Tell me what you think! You won't get an enchilada, but please comment anyway!
