MLAATR Escape from VEGA Prime

Author's Note : Hello everyone! This is my very first fanfic of My Life as a Teenage Robot, even though I loved it since it first aired.

Quick note before reading. This is my first try at MLAATR, and it may contain grammar mistakes, so please no flaming. This will be a Brad/Jenny story. If you love Sheldon with Jenny instead, then please don't read if you hate Jenny with anyone else. The series ended with Jenny being single, so regardless of who she was meant to end up with, this is a fanfic about Brad/Jenny because I prefer them as a couple as a fan. Sheldon, Tuck, and even Vexus will make many appearances in this fic along with Melody and other characters. So please enjoy.

DISCLAIMER: MLAATR AND ALL IT'S CHARACTER DON'T BELONG TO ME BUT TO ROB REZENTTI I'M JUST A FAN WHO LOVES THE SHOW

This chapter is dedicated to Vena who encouraged me to write this plus gave me pointers on how to make easier to read Thxs tons :)

-Chapter 1-

The day was quiet as the sun started to shine it's light down on the city of Tremorton. The few cars heading down the city's streets gave off a slight humming sound. The town's main street's shops were getting themselves ready for another day at work. The local mailman walked down the suburb's streets, going through the mail to be delivered next. He stopped in front of a older metallic home and looked at the mailbox.

"Dr. Wakeman"

The mailman nodded towards the house in recognition to it's residents, and delivered their mail.

Inside a woman with her white hair curled in rollers and wearing a blue cotton robe, quickly fastened on her red lab goggles, anxious to get to work. Quickly walking over to a closed doorway that hung a small sign reading "XJ9 Jenny's room", she called out with slight excitement in her voice.

"XJ9"

No answer came from the room.

"XJ9" She called again, knocking the door.

"XJ9!" She yelled, getting tired of not getting a response.

Finally a voice replied in a annoyed holler. "WHAT!".

"XJ9, Don't give me that tone young lady. It's high time for your routine performance checks, and the new prototype supplies finally came in. I need to test them, and verify their-"

"Oh no!" A sudden cry of shock from the bedroom silenced the doting professor.

"My alarm must be malfunctioning, I'm late for school." The young voice declared, followed by a noise of gears, air pressure, and glass breaking.

Dr. Wakeman instantly recognized the familiar sound, and quickly opened the bedroom door, only to shut it immediately. "I thought I told her not to fly out the window. Typical teenage robot." She scratched her chin, in thought. " Could it the day of the science fair already? " She brightened up at the thought. "I suppose the prototype will have to be tested later then."

Jenny flew at such high speeds that the cityscape was all but a blur. She dashed into her school homeroom, and quickly took her seat next to Misty in seconds.

Misty grinned at her, quickly closing her Eastern philosophy book that was hidden inside her textbook. Having left the Teen Team, and renewing her friendship with Jenny, she was what the school board called "exchange" student. To Jenny it meant Misty's way of attending a average human high school without making any promises of staying permanently.

Misty's extended stay at the school caused Brad to give up his seat next to Jenny. For the past year, his new seat was next to the actual exchange student from London. Since the change Brad's knowledge of London's bands and fashion had increased with their constant time spent together.

Jenny gave a sigh of relief. "Works every time." She leaned back in her chair feeling triumphant for arriving on time and escaping another boring exam from her mother.

The teacher appeared from behind her, handing her a slip with the word's "Tardy" written on it. "You're late." Was his simple robotic sounding reply.

"What I don't understand, I got here earlier then usual." She groaned and crunched the slip in her hand. "Thanks a lot mom."

"Let me guess, an experiment?" Misty asked, resting her face against her fist casually.

"Worse, you would think with all these tests and upgrades that my internal clock would actually work. It didn't go off, and now I got detention...again!" Jenny told her, raising her voice in annoyance.

"No talking". Again another slip was handed to her.

Misty shook her head. "I don't know how you do it. If you weren't here, I wouldn't even bother with schools at all." She said frowning as she took a slip given to her.

"No talking."

"At least you'll have each other." Brad spoke up in a whisper, turning around in his seat.

Once lunchtime came, Misty was in a obvious sour mood. She hadn't spoken much since that morning, and she didn't join Brad and Jenny's conversation at the lunch line.

Brad and Jenny joined her at the empty lunch table, continuing in their conversation.

"I'm telling you, Zion's said he's seen them both together." Brad said while taking his seat. "With Misty here, that makes even pairs."

At the mention of her name, Misty looked up at him still scowling.

Brad waved his hands back and forth. "Whoa, don't hurt me. I didn't mean anything by it." He said, slightly afraid of Misty's glare.

"That's right, Misty hasn't met them yet." Jenny remembered.

"Met who?" Misty answered, with a tone that demonstrated the least bit of interest.

"That you two aren't the only ones of your kind around here. There's the Silver Shell, Kenny and..." Brad trailed off in mid sentence with a frown.

"Melody, she's another robot girl, but not exactly on our side. No one has seen her since her inventor Dr. Locust disappeared, and now Brad's telling me he saw both Kenny and the Silver Shell together." Jenny finished off for him.

"Two robot guys, two robot...well two awesome girls; perfect pairs if they wouldn't be a jerk, and a dog that is." Brad said with a wink.

"And this would be important to me why?" Misty said with a grimace. "I'm not here for dating. I'm just here until-"

"Until the wind calls you." Brad and Jenny both said in unison, already aware of Misty's choice of words.

Misty scowled, and narrowed her eyes "Look, you both know that this school deal, trying to act like these pathetic normals...no offense." She motioned to Brad. "I could care less."

"Looks like someone is missing some butt-kicking action." Brad said under his breath.

"I heard that!" Misty yelled. " Why don't you go off with green-o-hair, since you eased your way out of detention. Isn't he more your style." She grabbed her lunch tray, and got up from her seat with a huff.

Her tray ended up crashing against the chest of a pink trench coat that stood behind her. Both drinks, and food poured over the bystander who's temper raised.

"Why you little freak."Came it's enraged voice with a British accent. "This is a Minda Cabona limited edition. How dare you!"

"What did you just call me!" Misty dropped her tray instantly, not backing down.

"She called you a freak, weirdo; whaddya going to do; go all kungfool creepshow on us again." A shorter girl wearing a pink cap appeared beside her British companion with a group of girls behind her.

"If it weren't for all those weird powers. You would be no different then him." A ginger-haired girl in a pink prep dress added while pointing to a boy walking into the lunch room. The boy's face was hidden behind a book titled "Robotics and Engineering".

"If it weren't for my powers, I would have sunken each of your noses to the back of your skull already." Misty spat back at them, clenching her fists.

"Is that a threat?" The soaked girl spoke again still upset.

Jenny quickly jumped out of her seat, and got between the tense argument. "No it's not. Britt, Tiff, Pteresa, girls it was just an accident. No one is getting suspended this time."

"Just transferred to whatever planet your sidekick came from."Britt said with a smug expression.

"I'm not a sidekick! Your city can burn down to rubble for all I care." Misty pushed Jenny aside, and marched out of the lunchroom.

"Poor sweet Martian must be homesick, or worse. If she's somehow infected I'll have her written up." Britt said with a smile as the other girls laughed.

"Her name's Misty, and she's not from Mars." Jenny spoke up in her friend's defense.

"Oh dear, my sincerest apologies Jennifer. Tiff we should have gone easier on them both. After-all they both will be missing out on Mezmer's later." Britt said attempting to sound regretful.

"Mezmer's? I thought that place was old. No one goes there anymore." Jenny remembered that no one really went there after the exo-skin incident.

"Boy are you behind." Tiff exclaimed. "Mezmer's got a complete remodel with the new ownership. The new young owner from Scotland is to die for."

"Word has it, he's a frat boy alumni so that means..." Pteresa cracked a smile while speaking.

"Parties!" All the girls said in unison.

"And that means only the best attend...that leaves out things like you and your alien friend." Britt said with glee. "I personally think detention did you a favor." With that final statement, the Crust cousins walked out out the lunchroom, their loyal girl followers right after them.

"I don't believe it." Jenny said in shock, bending down to pick up a flyer that the group of girls left behind.

"Neither do I, the Crusts dare threaten Misty after what she did to them last time." Brad added shaking his head in disbelief.

"I can't believe Mezmer's is in again. Brad maybe you can get hired, they have new owners!" Jenny turned to him excited.

Brad's jaw dropped. "What! That's what you can't believe. Jenny forget about the Crusts already, they're a bunch of-"

A voice interrupted Brad's upcoming insult towards the Crusts. "Oh hi Jenny; great news! There's this amazing convention coming up and I thought we-" The boy was obviously Sheldon Lee, about to go into a discussion Jenny wanted no part of. She quickly avoided the subject.

"Sorry Sheldon I can't. I have detention, and after that my mom needs to run some mandatory tests."

"But I thought you were-" Brad was silenced by Jenny squeezing his hand behind her back.

Sheldon frowned sadly. "Oh...ok, I just thought we could-"

The lunch bell rung, and the cafeteria turned into a rushing crowd of students either going to their classes, with others skipping them.

"Well, gotta go. Seeya Sheldon." Jenny said as she pulled Brad along with her.

Watching the pair walk out of the cafeteria, a flyer drifting across the floor caught his eye. It read: The All New Mezmer's.

"So this is what she was hyperventilating over. Some guy decides to reopen that place, and now it's the best thing. Why does Jenny even care."

A snobbish voice spoke up in response. "Because it's just a tincan trying to pass off as one of them, while you're flesh and bones and the furthest thing from them."

Sheldon faced the person speaking to him. Only to hold back a sigh. "Oh it's you Don."

The high school heartthrob was gazing into his hand mirror and slicking back his strawberry blond hair. "Don't take it the wrong way, just saying the truth. You'll never marry it, kiss it, or even date it. You're not even it's real friend. It's just using you, for the geek it sees you as."

"Jenny is not a it!" Sheldon raised both his voice and his finger in the air, offended by hearing such words.

Don put away his mirror and looked at him. "Well...you're right about that one. She's not even a good robot. If she was, she would use her computer brain to know that I was her only ticket to popularity." He stood up, and straightened his black turtle neck collar.

"I should have listened to Travis, no real girl would turn down a guy like me, and no real robot would turn down a robo-geek like you either. Quit wasting your time."

Somewhere in space on an unknown planet

"Your body is smooth and polished. Shall we get you anything else, great warrior." A tiny voice spoke, bowing before a larger silhouette.

"No, the wax was enough for now." It replied in a female voice, gazing into it's reflection. "You may leave."

Once left on it's own. The figure stepped over to it's bedroom chamber window to see how the latest building project was going. "They thought they could rid themselves of a supreme ruler that easily. I Vexus am destined to be on a throne. Exiled me to a foreign planet did they? Well in the end I still am worshiped." She declared, recalling when she first arrived on this far-off planet.

(Flashback)

Overthrown by her own daughter, and exiled from her home planet Cluster-Prime, she declared Smythus and Crakus useless, and abandoned them on the wretched asteroid she was exiled to.

After being thrown out of Earth with another one of her plans foiled by XJ9, was that she discovered this new planet.

At first glance the planet appeared empty, asides from a number of robots standing in place singing an awful chant over, and over. Upon closer inspection, she realized that there was a tiny village with aliens the size of ants.

'Could these be the Minutians I've heard of.' She thought. To her knowledge, the tiny but dangerous Minutians were not defeated easily. With that in mind she devised a plan that went against her very pride and ego. One by one, she destroyed the robots, and deactivated their dreadful singing.

Immediately afterwards she felt a tug on her leg. "Oh supreme being and mighty warrior. We Imputians thank you for destroying the enemy. Thou shall receive, what thou desires." Responded the leader of the tiny alien race.

(End of Flashback)

The Iputians were a tiny alien race that were allies with the deadly Minutians. Instead of multiplying themselves , they possessed the ability to build rapidly extreme feats. In just a matter of minutes, they built Vexus a bed chamber, in hours a fortress, and in days a grand statue of herself.

At present they were working on a mighty temple.

She smiled and quietly laughed to herself. "Foolish XJ9, you thought you were victorious by taking away my kingdom, my daughter. I am not someone that disappears and is to be forgotten like those chanting robots. You are and forever will be a disgrace to your kind." Vexus backed away from the window, and entered her throne room.

"A true robot as myself, honors and sees itself as a superior life-form. Not stepping down and worshiping ungrateful weak humans who treat robots as merely their tools." She stopped in her step, and humphed.

"She doesn't even succeed in proving herself righteous as a robot and be idolized." She said to herself, recalling how she quickly gained the humans by masquerading as Vicky.

"In her position, I would have the humans think twice about double-crossing me, infact they would serve me, even those two wretched Crust girls. It was them that ruined my success." She said balling her hands into fists upon remembering.

Her eyes then grew wide. "Wait a minute."

It was at that moment that it dawned on her. "All this time...XJ9 has indeed been battling against the human race." She said to herself in awe. "She has attended their education grounds, gained some humans to rebel against their ways." She recalled frequently seeing XJ9 with two humans in particular. "She has also broken in and destroyed robot-hating meeting grounds...or so I heard, if that Space Biker gang leader was spreading facts."

"She easily proves that robots are just as capable, or even superior then humans, by settling in amongst their very selves, and being victorious at battles they would only but fail at." She rubbed her hands cackling.

"However...she's doing a horrible job at it. A robot as herself should not be victimized by mere human adolescents. Why be a robot with weaponry and brains...to only dismiss it and act...human." She said in disgust.

"It seems that it's time XJ9 be discharged of her position, and let QT2 be the true robot in town. First mission...take away what XJ9 does not deserve."

With a pull of a cord, a loud chime was heard throughout the halls of the fortress. In minutes, dozens of Imputians appeared before her, bowing.

"Yes, Supreme one."

"The enemies that are locked away in the dungeon. It appears to be the time their use was needed."

Meanwhile on Earth a school bell was heard in the city of Tremorton, announcing the end of the school day for it's students. Pouring out the main entrance, the students practically ran, chatting with their friends as they went.

The last to exit out the door was a lone male student who sat on the school steps staring at a translucent blue paper.

He sighed. "I guess, I won't be able to show Jenny my new invention. I could show Dr. Wakmen, but I really wanted Jenny to see it first." In anger he crumpled up the paper into a ball, and tossed it as far as he could. Watching the paper only land a no more then three-to-four feet in front of him, he gritted his teeth.

"Oh! Why am I so...so..."

"So much of a loser." A loud, bossy voice that Sheldon instantly recognized as Tiff Crust called from her limo window.

"Now...now Tiff, we mustn't be so cruel. If it makes you feel any better, my blender is single." Britt added, as she tossed a home appliance magazine out the window.

"I would give you a car magazine instead, but you don't even share that in common with the rest of the male school body." She added before the limo drove off leaving Sheldon coughing in a cloud of dust.

"Don't worry chap, it's not just you." A voice with a British accent spoke up. After the dust cleared, Sheldon saw it was the British exchange student that had become Bra'ds new constant companion within the past year.

"Oh...it's Jeremy right."

"Whoa, whoa mate, the name's Zion. Only my mum calls me Jeremy these days." He said looking around to see if anyone heard.

"Stop trying to be polite. Look at you, you have that accent, and your hair is this green...uh." Sheldon was at a loss for words when describing the other teen's unique hairstyle.

"It's called a mohawk, and believe me; you don't have to be a boffin to be ignored by the dames. They can be pretty mental. I feel for ya chap."

Sheldon blinked twice at the teen's odd choice of words. "Uh...I'm sorry but I don't really get wha-"

"What I mean is, you are not the only one who has trouble." Zion tried to simplify his use of words.

"I can't imagine you having trouble or getting ignored by girls. They all probably think you're cool." Sheldon looked away, to face the school entrance sign. It read:

Tremorton High School. Home of the Quakers and XJ9 Robot.

He sighed sadly once he read the sign.

"Yeah well that just comes to prove the facts. I've been called weird, and this one minx I fancy hates me. So nothing is wrong with you...uh...except that I recommend you stop reading that in public." Zion said pointing to the Robotics magazine Sheldon had dropped.

"What's so bad with reading this, Jenny is a robot." Sheldon picked up the magazine in defense.

"It has blueprints lad, that's the closest thing to seeing Jenny without anything on. To humans that's pretty much beyond-"

"Perverted." Brad finished Zion's sentence once he appeared beside him and leaned on his friend's shoulder.

"That's not what I was going to say." Zion said annoyed. "I thought you were staying after-school."

"Was going to, but we have important business to catch up on." Brad said with a smile.

"Forget it, blimey I told you already, the only spice I can hook you up is Paprika." With that, the green haired teen stomped off.

"H-Hey Paprika works, give me her number." Brad called out to him as he ran after him.

Sheldon was left alone once again, with his magazine still in his hands. He looked down at the magazine's cover, deep in thought.

"Why should I listen to him...Zeon...Zinon...whatever he said his name was...used to make fun of me ever since Jenny and I first met. It's probably people like him, that make Jenny want to be like...like...oh who am I trying to fool...I'm lucky that Jenny even considers me alive." Sheldon told himself sadly.

A loud crash heard nearby caught his attention, followed by the sounds of lasers being shot, and metal clanging against each other.

Rushing over to Tremorton's City park he saw a group of robots with blazing red eyes huddled around in a circle struggling with a unknown object that was resisting their hold.

Once Sheldon approached, he saw that they were attempting to dismantle another robot. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a crane holding a large wrecking ball. Without giving it a second thought, he hopped in it's driving seat, and struck each one of the malicious robots until they were too damaged to function.

"For some reason, this reminds me of something...like deja-vu." Sheldon told himself confused. "This crane with the wrecking ball, even these robots look familiar." He said scratching his head.

A movement from the center of the pile of robots helped him remember about the robot victim that had been attacked. "Oh my gosh, I forgot!" He exclaimed, while quickly pulling on the robot's green leg.

Breaking it free from the robot pile, the green robot crashed alongside him on the grass below. What he saw next shocked him.

With a bat of her black metallic lashes, and apple green cat eyes, she spoke in her usual sultry voice. "Sheldawn, you saved me again!"

"No...no-no-no-no-no" Sheldon repeated aloud quickly. "It's you...you...tricked me...you're...you're...Vex-"

The robot shot up quickly into a sitting position. "Do not mention that name to me. That queen used me." She interrupted him gripping the sides of her head in anger.

"Wrong, you stole XJ9's plans, and duped me!" Sheldon backed away from the female robot in fear. "You're not going to trick me again QT2, Vexus, or whoever you are."

"I am QT2, and I did live on Cluster-Prime, Vexus forced me to steal the plans. Once Vega began to rule, I have been sent to Earth in order to redeem myself, and my home planet's reputation." She explained herself.

"I don't want to listen to you. I shouldn't believe anything you have to say." Sheldon said covering ears. "Now you stay away from me!"

"Sheldawn, the reason I came back to Earth was to find you first, then explain everything to the robot gir-."

"Her name is Jenny!" Sheldon cut her off, preparing himself to give Jenny a emergency call.

"Janny then." She said quickly with a shrug of her shoulders. "I'm so glad you saved me again. I've heard so many horrifying stories about what humans do to robots. I was afraid I wouldn't make it on my own without getting attacked, but you found me." In a flash, she flew towards him, leaning against his chest.

"All humans should be like you. Smart, strong, perfect." She added with a deep sigh.

Sheldon felt heat gather on his face, his heart rate accelerate and thoughts filling his mind. 'I'm far from perfect...I'm a...a...'

He pushed her away. "Only someone like you would say something like that. Anyone else would say I'm a..."

"Loser." She finished for him in a plain manner.

Sheldon looked at the robot in front of him, his mouth hanging open. "Wait just how much did the Crust cousins teach you." He told her, recalling Jenny having mentioned about Vexus impersonating a student at school once.

"I heard it from this blue robot girl the day I first met you. I thought that was a term for humans who accepted robots. Is it?" She asked.

"Jenny called me a loser?" Sheldon said sadly, although it hadn't been the first time Jenny had accidentally called him that.

"Indeed...is loser a bad term then?" QT2 continued to ask with a innocent tone, until she gasped. "Oh no!"

"What is it this time, your rockets again or do you have a loose gear; because I'm not falling for-"

"Do the other humans attack you because you're different. Because you see robots different then they do. Oh my little Sheldawn, how could Janny treat you this way? She's is after-all one of us, why behave like them." She said in a sympathetic tone.

"Like them?" Sheldon raised a eyebrow in question.

"Like the humans who despise her...it seems like she wants to become them, instead of being what she is...a robot."

The sound of a metal chains silenced her. Looking down she saw some metal clasps on her robotic wrists. "What did you do to me?" She asked him alarmed.

"I don't trust you QT2, but one of your legs is loose, and has faulty wiring. You're coming with me." Sheldon chattered in a fast tone, while pulling her by the arm. "This way. We're going to my workshop."

QT2 smiled, and softly giggled. 'I've have him right where I need him.' She thought.

Authors Note: Before anyone says this...I know this chapter did not have any BradxJenny moments, but they will come later. The series itself had Jenny deal with normal teenage problems, and saving the day halfway through. My fanfic will be in that style, and focus on other characters too along the way.

Anyways Read N' Review.
