A pair of dominant personalities often clash, and sometimes in the most perfect way. Short Jounouchi/Kaiba drabble, fluff, shonen ai.
Something I kind of wrote on a whim, hope you all enjoy it!
The sun was vital to everything on earth. It brought light, and more importantly, life to all beings with its warm rays. Still, that didn't mean it was always welcome.
Cursing to himself, he wondered why the curtains were open, allowing the morning sun to shine in his face in the most annoying way possible. He wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep, but he couldn't bring himself to get out of bed. Instead, he rolled over, turning his back on the bright, offending star.
As he did, he immediately changed his mind about morning sunlight. He couldn't imagine anything better to wake up to. Golden hair shone, highlighted by the sun's rays, long bangs partially obscuring a serene, sleeping face. He'd always considered that particular face to be cute- like a puppy dog- but this morning it looked damn beautiful. His rich blue eyes traveled downward, past the column of neck, across a toned, lightly-muscled chest and abdomen, when his view was abruptly cut off by the fabric of light blue cotton sheets.
He was still gazing at him when honey-brown eyes slowly blinked open. The blonde rolled onto his side, a smile playing on his lips. "Yeah. I know."
Seto raised an eyebrow. "You know… what?"
"I'm gorgeous, it's no wonder you can't get enough."
He grunted and settled onto his back, fixing icy eyes on the ceiling. "Well. You're not bad for a mutt."
Jounouchi's warm amber eyes heated with a familiar fire, then cooled again. "Damn it it's too early for this stuff. Blah blah moneybags blah blah heartless. There."
This earned a chuckle from the brunet. "I guess any dog can be tamed."
The fire returned, and he wriggled closer to Seto. "I oughta…" He was cut off by a pair of lips meeting his. After a few moments, he broke the kiss. "I'm not through with you, you know!" Slender fingers tangled in his hair as he was pulled in for a second, more passionate kiss. "Hey." He was panting now. "You fight dirty."
"And you talk entirely too much." It wasn't entirely true. Jounouchi had a big mouth, certainly, but Seto liked it at times. He enjoyed his fire and passion, the way he was one of the few people to stand up to him. In fact, he dearly enjoyed their petty arguments, which was why he so often (like this morning) goaded him on.
"Yeah well… if you didn't talk, we'd always be silent."
"Would that be so terrible?"
"Yes, it would." It was a stupid argument, and they both knew it. That had never stopped them before, though.
Jounouchi snuggled against the warm body next to him. "Well. Maybe not all the time."
Seto breathed in the shampoo scent lingering in the golden locks brushing softly against his chin. Proving his point, he stayed silent and enjoyed the moment. Even lazy Sunday mornings were hard to come by in Seto's life, which sort of came from being the teenage CEO of his own company.
The blonde in his arms slowly drifted off to sleep, and he did his best to sink back into his pillow and return to his own slumber. He was just beginning to get frustrated with his attempts when he suddenly awoke to the annoying buzz of his alarm clock. It may have been a lazy Sunday, but he still had work to do.
He disentangled himself from the other teen, getting up and dressed. When he was finished, he leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, the last thing saw before leaving the room a smile forming on his lover's lips.
