A/N: It's weird how a shower can inspire something like this, eh? hm, well, I wrote this in like 10 minutes because I had to go to my uncle's house for dinner (which means I wrote this many hours ago) and I didn't want to write anything more to it when I came home again, so there you go, a piece of shit from me.. XD

Bath Time

Water splashed over the edge as Neji carefully stepped into the blue bathtub. (A/N: 'cause blue bathtub's rule!) The water had just the right temperature and a slight scent of vanilla, which were both much appreciated by his body and nose.
He sat down slowly, trying to avoid getting water everywhere, before ducking completely under the surface.
Shikamaru watched his lover's actions from one end with slightly bored eyes, but a soft smiled played at his lips.
When Neji's face appeared above the water again, Shikamaru extended a hand towards him, as if telling the other to come closer.
Neji moved slowly through the water and crawled into Shikamaru's lap.
'Hm' Neji hummed contently, as Shikamaru's arms wrapped him in a protective embrace. 'This is nice' he muttered as he laid his head on Shikamaru's wet shoulder.
'Hn' Shikamaru agreed as he started to rub Neji's back gently.
Neji nuzzled his nose into Shikamaru's neck, 'It's been a long time since we last had time to take a bath together'
'Because of all those troublesome missions' Shikamaru grumbled, leaning back against the edge of the tub, so he was half lying down with Neji on top of him.
'Hm' Neji hummed again, as he rubbed his face against Shikamaru's chest.
Shikamaru grinned down at his lover, Neji could really act like a little cat sometimes.
'Have you got your next mission yet?' Neji asked quietly.
'Mm, I'm leaving Thursday, going to Suna with a message for the Kazekage'
'Heh, Naruto must be upset that he can't go instead' Neji sniggered.
'Yeah, well, we can't have the Hokage leaving the village all the time just because he wants to see Gaara,' Shikamaru smiled.
'Hm'
Neji started rubbing his face against Shikamaru again, enjoying the feel and smell of his lover. Neji couldn't think of anything that was better than moments like these.
'What about you?'
'Eh?'
'You're next mission?'
'Oh, I haven't heard anything yet,'
'Ah'
They fell into a comfortable silence, just enjoying each others presence as the water slowly turned colder.
'You know' Shikamaru started.
'Hm?'
'In two weeks' Shikamaru started running his fingers through Neji's long hair, 'in two weeks, it will be our two years anniversary'
Neji smiled and looked up at Shikamaru, 'Yes'
'It's been two good years, hasn't it?' Shikamaru said softly with a blissful face.
'Yes, it has' Neji agreed with a smile, 'the best two years of my life'
Shikamaru looked into Neji's eyes before bending his head and kissing the slightly older man. The kiss seemed to go on forever, but neither of the lovers could get enough.
'I love you Shika' Neji whispered into the other's ear.
'I love you too Neji' Shikamaru said before kissing Neji again.
Neji pulled away slightly, 'Shika' he murmured, 'Can we go to bed now?'
Shikamaru grinned and gathered Neji in his arms before standing up in the bathtub with him.
'I think that's a very good idea love' Shikamaru said as he carried his lover to the bedroom, leaving a trail of water behind them. Neither one cared at the moment, all they cared about was each other and the rest of the night.

.. I just realised that I kinda write like Shika's the dominant one. I never really thought about it, it just happened.. Hm, not that I mind, kukuku

Fun fact: I want a bathtub, a blue one, but all I have is a broken shower D:
