Any and Every Day It's Cold
Ben 10/Ben 10: Alien Force

BeVin (Ben/Kevin)
Summary: No matter how cold and heartless a person you are, there are just some things that stay with you-- or, rather, some things you want to stay with you.
A/N: Set just right before Alien Force.
Everyone was complaining about the scorching temperatures. All the hot heatheatheat.
Once, when he'd grudgingly stopped at a biker-ish gas station, he'd spotted a girl with a very sunburned left arm. It was bright fucking red (except for the pale-white strip of skin he'd glimpsed under her wristband), and afterwards he drove for miles just imagining the heat he could feel if he had touched that arm. After he snapped himself out of it, however, he eventually reasoned with himself that he was glad for his long sleeves, lest he too be a chameleon like her.
(At least, more of one than he already was...)
Despite what everybody was blabbering about weather, though, he was indeed still wearing his grey long-sleeved shirt under his black tee. The colors attracted all that heat out there beyond his windshield--he could see it in waves--and the sleeves also held in warmth.
He'd once decided it was better to burn alive than freeze to death, but, then again, Kevin was always cold. There were downsides to being able to absorb all those substances; metal, stone--maybe even alien substances, who knew? it's not like he'd been able to try. None of the things he could cover himself with were necessarily known for being warm without help. So, he'd taken to doing anything and everything to keep warm.
However, "everything," which everyone knew was more important than "anything"..."Everything" was proving to be much more difficult to do.
He would give anything if
he could find the green-eyed Xenomorph and repay said boy for what he
did to Kevin, just absorb Ben right into himself and take him with
him anywhere he goes.
Give everything to have Ben's heart in his
hands everywhere he went.
A/N:
Bah, worthless (revised) drabble. It was way better ((&
shorter, actually)) in my head, but while writing I was also being
distracted by Harry Potter fics & a persistant boyfriend.
Damn.
I hope this
makes sense to at least someone.
& did anyone catch my future-reference to "Kevin's
Big Score"? D
