Time is a really inevitable thing. It separates many things. It's what separates second from minute, minute from hour, life from death and day from night.
Many people worry about time constantly. They worry about their age, and being early or being late. But when you're immortal, what importance does time hold for you?
When you live forever, what does time matter?
I used to believe that soon I would not have to worry about time either, not at all.
I had that option.
living forever with the one you loved,
the one that holds you gently because you are so breakable to him, the one who listens to your heartbeat and describes it as being his favourite sound in the world, the one who promised to love you forever, every single day of forever.
The one who left you to live a human life.
Forever is also separated by time; well for me it was ripped apart and stomped on. It was a promise you held close to your stone heart, a promise of undying love…forever.
Well what is forever now?
Where did it go?
What happened to it?
What happened to us?
A boy, a beautiful boy who stands before it. His soaking wet bronze hair clinging to his forehead. The rain comes down in sheets but he doesn't seem to realize. He doesn't flinch at its touch, of something so smooth. He doesn't respond when you speak his name or ask him to come. He lingers there, staring straight ahead. You could take a guess, that he was re-reading it over and over again. As if he was trying to memorize it, or carve the wording into his mind. Nobody knows the story there. Nobody sees the pain in his topaz eyes. He is just a 17 year old boy. He has the world ahead of him; well that's what they think. But truth be told, that if you asked this angelic boy he would probably agree. He would look up at you through golden orbs full of pain and agony and agree that you were correct, he does have his whole world in front of him, and he would stare back at it, and re-read the words over and over and over again…

…and so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
You always will be a 17 year old boy, Forever. That's a promise that cannot be broken by time, Immortal.
She lived the life you wanted her to. Aren't you happy?
Now you and she can never be.
Because time does not take pity on love, it separates it.
So from all those moments separated into memories, to all those words separated into thoughts, and all those minutes separated into hours…
You despise time.
It's what separated you and me.
Forever.
