"I wish we had somewhere quieter to talk about this," the Captain commented.

Alex glanced at Bobby, who hesitated slightly before responding.

"My place is right around the corner," he said slowly, "we can go there."

The Captain nodded.

"That would be much better."

Bobby frowned inwardly. He had hoped the Captain would say no.

"Well - here it is," Bobby announced to no one in particular. Alex looked around. It was nice, nicer than she expected, considering that he didn't spend much time here. There was a comfy couch situated in front of a warm fireplace, with several bookshelves all around. The living room opened out to the kitchen, which was clean and large- but very unused.

Alex frowned.

"I thought you cooked."

"I do," Bobby replied, "Just – not here."

Alex raised her eyebrows.

"Is anything even in the fridge?"

She grabbed the handle of the fridge door and pulled. Bobby reached out, trying to stop her, but it was too late. The door swung open, and both Alex and the Captain were speechless. Bobby flushed. His secret stash was revealed.

His fix.

His addiction.

His love.

His chocolate.

Stacks of chocolate bars- everything from Imported Swiss Milk Chocolate to Snickers- lined the shelves. Bottles of chocolate syrup were shoved into random corners. Boxes of freshly baked chocolate truffles fought for space with the chocolate turtles. Everything in the fridge was made of chocolate- excluding a small bottle of milk shoved way back, behind the piles of chocolate.

But Alex assumed that Bobby just mixed that with the Ovaltine and Milo she had spotted on the shelf to make chocolate milk.

"You know, I always thought you had inherited your crazy streak," Alex mused, "But now I wonder if you're just on a constant sugar-high."

Suddenly, the loud, annoying sound of a beeper filled the room. The captain quickly turned it off.

"As much as I would like to stay and see what else Goren has hidden in here, I have to go.

I'll see you two tommorow."

Bobby stifled a sigh of relief as the door swung shut behind him. One less person to explain it to- for now, at least.

Alex smirked at him.
"I don't even want to know." she glanced around, wondering what other little secrets Bobby was keeping. That's probably why he always wanted to go to my place, she thought.

"You know," Alex suggested mischievously, "with the captain gone..."

Bobby grinned.

"I'll get the chocolate syrup."
