One More Night
A/N: Just a sweet little KakaSaku oneshot idea that came into my head at about two thirty in the morning. I really wanted to write it, so here it is, inspired by the chorus of 'One More Night' by Cascada. Please enjoy, review if you want, no flames or I'll flame you back. Sorry about the blatant scene break, Fanfiction keeps messing up my usual scene breaks.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any of the characters. I don't own Cascada's song either. I do, however, own this fanfic. Hope you like the story…
"One more night before we tell the boys." Haruno Sakura told her koi despondently.
"Well, at least Tsunade-sama took it well." Her lover answered, unusually optimistic. Sakura supposed he had a point. Her shishou had downed three glasses of sake, before demanding a few privileges, to which the couple had readily agreed.
"I guess. But Kakashi, the boys will probably burn your Icha Icha!" Sakura was failing in her quest to remain upbeat. "Then they'll burn you, and lecture me." Kakashi shook his head at her morbid outlook.
"Don't worry, they won't do anything." He told her. She sighed, and moved closer to him. He snaked an arm around her waist, and pulled her onto his lap, brushing his fingers lightly through her pink hair. This was how they fell asleep, one comforted by her lover's assurances that everything would be okay, and the other wishing he could believe his own words.
THE NEXT MORNING
"Sakura. Wake up." Kakashi shook the kunoichi gently, and she opened her jade eyes slowly, sighing.
"Time to start the fight." She said, in a voice little above a whisper. They set off for Ichiraku Ramen, which was where they had arranged to meet Sasuke and Naruto, and tell them their important news. They left Kakashi's apartment by the back entrance. No one but Tsunade was allowed to know anything before Sasuke and Naruto.
"Sensei! You're on time! What happened?" Naruto gasped at the sight of Kakashi. Sasuke was frowning slightly.
"I've got something to tell you." Sakura began. She and Kakashi had agreed that she would do the talking, as he would undoubtedly say the wrong thing, and push either the kyuubi vessel or the Uchiha genius over the edge. "I - I'm pregnant."
There was a silence. Then Sasuke smiled slightly. Naruto blinked at the emotion from the seemingly heartless teme.
"How many weeks gone?"
"Twelve. We thought you should be the first to know, after Tsunade-shishou." Sakura answered, exceedingly pleased that Sasuke was not going crazy at the news.
"Teme? You're missing the important question." Naruto said quietly. Everyone turned to regard him.
"Oh?" Sasuke said mildly.
"WHO'S THE FATHER?" Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi stared at the blond, before concluding he really was as brainless as they all thought. Sasuke sighed.
"Kakashi, you dobe."
Naruto's blue eyes widened, before glinting wildly with the power of the nine-tailed demon fox.
"You – how could you? Cradle robber!" He growled, his glare fixed on Kakashi. Sasuke grabbed the blond's arm, which was reaching for a weapon of some sort.
"Dobe, you can't be upset! They are happy. They're no different to Shikamaru and Temari, to you and Hinata, to Neji and Tenten. And if Tsunade approves, then so should you." Naruto's eyes slowly returned to their usual colour. He shook his head.
"Sorry, it's just – you teach us, it's weird!" He said, sounding bewildered.
"I don't teach you anymore, Naruto. You're all twenty, old enough to make your own decisions." Kakashi pointed out. Naruto paused for a long moment, before yelling:
"We're behind you all the way! Dattebayo!"
Kakashi and Sakura left Ichiraku hand-in-hand for everyone to see, Naruto and Sasuke standing either side of them, ready to beat up anyone who said a word against their friends.
