Summary: Step by step, Tommy attempts to win Hayley's love. A trilogy of 100 word drabbles based on the song Step by Step by Eddie Rabbitt.

First Step

Tommy watched her walk by, his breath catching in his throat. She always passed him on their way to Physics. She was beautiful and the smartest person he knew, surpassing even Billy. He'd wanted to ask her out for weeks now; he just hadn't worked up the courage. But now, summer was fast approaching; it was now or never. He took his courage in his hands and walked up to her. "Hayley?"

She turned around, "Yes?"

"Would you like to maybe grab some coffee after class?"

"I'd love to, Tommy."

Now he just had to treat her like a lady.

Second Step

Hayley wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him softly, "You're all mine now," she whispered against his lips.

"All yours," Tommy murmured in response. "You're the one I'm dreaming of every night," he told her before pressing a soft kiss against her lips in return.

"Every night?" She asked, a smile crossing her lips.

"Every night," he repeated, watching as her smile lit up her eyes.

"Good dreams?" She asked pulling back slightly to cock her head to the side.

"They have you in them, don't they?"

She laughed softly and leaned in for another soft, sweet kiss.

Third Step

Tommy held her close as they swayed to the soft music drifting out of his jeep. "I am never going to let you go," he whispered before placing a soft kiss on her neck.

Hayley shivered as she felt his warm lips against her skin. "Never is a long time," she said softly, resting her head on his shoulder as they danced in the moonlight.

"Not long enough," was Tommy's reply.

"I love you Thomas Oliver," she whispered softly, pulling back to look at him.

"I love you too, Hayley Ziktor." Tommy smiled, step by step, he'd won her love.
