Just the Two of Us

Kyo smiled as his eyes flitted to Tohru, his orange hair momentarily covering his deep blue orbs as he glanced sideways at his fiancé. She threw her head back laughing, shaking her brown hair that lay casually over her shoulders.

The two of them and the rest of the Sohma clan as well as Uo and Hana were crowded into Shigure's small living room, talking animatedly about the upcoming nuptials between Tohru and him.

He watched as Tohru glanced at him, a small smile playing on the corner of her lips as she quietly excused herself from the small group she was sitting in and wandered slowly towards him, their eyes locked. She wordlessly lifted his hands from his lap and sat their instead, momentarily forgetting her surroundings she let her head drop onto his strong chest, he too ignored the sea of onlookers and wrapped his sweater-clad arms around her small waist, placing a gentle kiss to her temple as she played with his fingers, tracing love-hearts on his palms. He whispered gently in her ear causing her smile, the Sohma onlookers noticed, to brighten.

Shigure was the first to speak, "Aren't they just too cute?" The room immediately became a buzz with activity.

Hatori was the next to speak, "Yes, I do believe they may even out-cute Kisa and Hiro!" there was protests from both Kisa and Hiro.

"I'm not cute," Hiro exclaimed appalled

"Guys," Uo began.

"True" Yuki agreed seemingly not hearing Uo.

"But Kisa is." Ritso's contradicted.

"Excuse me!" Uo tried again.

"Also true," Yuki acknowledged Ritso's comment with a nod.

"Hey I'm cute," Momiji protested pouting. "You forgot about me."

"Maybe," Kagura thought aloud, "I know it's nothing on me but-" There was a chorus of cries and shouts from various Sohmas until above the din Uo stood and said above the din.

"This is all quite irrelevant - Tohru and Kyo have gone."

Many heads turned towards the direction of the chair Kyo and Tohru had been sharing previously and it was now empty. Momiji immediately flew to the window and saw Tohru and Kyo, a spot in the distance, wandering blissfully together hand-in-hand.
