Today was just like every other day to Renji. So, when he reached to open the door to the office, he expected to see the usual thing. Captain Kuchiki, silently doing his paperwork, working hard as usual. Usual monotone greeting without looking up, same noble attitude. However, that is not what he saw.

"Good morning Captain Kuchiki." He said, walking to his desk. No answer.

Renji looked over to see his captain…asleep? Leaning back on his chair, legs on desk, and yes, asleep. "C-Captain Kuchiki? Is that you?"

"Hmm?" he replied, opening one eye.

"Y-You're…You're humanish!" Renji exclaimed, pointing at Byakuya and waving his arm up and down.

"What do you mean, humanish, Abarai?"

"Well, you're not exactly a human, but…"You're a soul!" Just doesn't…well,work."

"I see." Byakuya closed his eye.

Renji couldn't believe it. His captain had fallen asleep on the job. And…and…

"Renji quite gawking like a love struck fool, will you? A random flying object might fly into it and you could choke. And then who would do the paperwork?"

Gawking? Love struck fool? RANDOM? Byakuya Kuchiki didn't say those words! They were beneath him! "C-captain? Are you alright? Should I take you to go see Captain Unohana?"

"What? Can't I be normal for once?"

"…WTF!"

YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYZZ! Byakuya sleeping on the job? the world shall end.
