A Piece of Cake

After the shock of finding that the piece of chocolate cake that she had been saving in the fridge wasn't there anymore, she went on the warpath for Bloo's blue butt. She didn't pay any heed to the friends who would scramble to get out of her word when she appeared. Even though she probably should have. But, hey, when you take a girl's cakeā¦ you had better be prepared to pay the price. She had even had her name on it too. But that didn't seem to stop Bloo from simply taking it. And eating it no doubt.
And the hunt was taking far too long to suit her!
"Bloo. Get your blobby butt out here before I get really mad!"
While Frankie didn't usually get mad with the imaginary friends at the house, Bloo was an exception to that rule. Frankie was hardly being unfair though.
He usually deserved her ire.
"There you are!" She finally found him walking down the hallway, causally sipping a juice box. Probably washing his throat after the eating the stolen cake, Frankie thought. That would be so like him.
Bloo had the gall to look surprised at her. The unmitigated gall of the little blob! "What did I do?"
"You know what you've done."
"No I don't. Honest!" He crossed his heart and gave Frankie the boy scouts' salute.
"You stole my cake. That's what you have done."
"What cake?"
"The cake I had in the blue Tupperware container that had my name taped to it."
"But I didn't see any container like that, Frankie. Honest!"
"If you didn't eat it, then who did, buster?" Bloo was clearly lying. And she was going to get him to confess. Sooner or later.
A short brown furry friend in a door to one of the many bedrooms in the hall with a half eaten slice of chocolate cake on her plate. "Hello there," she said. "I don't know if we met before, but my name is Frankie. Frankie Monster."
Frankie Foster's eye twitched. "Wha?" She had hardly been expecting this to happen.
"Yeah I moved in today and already somebody had this cake saved in the fridge for me already.
"Is this place great or what?"
Okay. Maybe, just maybe, Bloo hadn't been lying after all.
