The sun shown brightly, and the birds sang their harmonic tune as a figure sat in a chair with a cup filled with what looked like tea. The figure was a women with blond hair, brown eyes, and a small lavender gem on her forehead. Sighing, the women looked out the massive windows of her office at the village below before taking a drink of her tea and sighing again. "Tsunade-sama, Is something wrong?" Asked a petite women with concern showing in her obsidian eyes.
"Nothing Shizune, I'm just tired from last night." Tsunade answered tiredly. Shizune cringed at the onslaught of images that filled her head and lightly brushed some hair out of her eyes. "It was tiring, wasn't it." She stated more than asked. "Mm." Tsunade began looking through the days missions that would need fulfilling, but nearly flinched when a yell was heard from behind her doors which was followed by a large crash as the doors flew open.
"TSUNADE-BAA-CHAN!!" Thunk! "Owww, What was that for!" Grasping his head in pain, a blond haired boy glared at the woman standing in front of him. "That was for calling me an old hag again, you brat!" She exclaimed. "Fine, then I'm not giving you, your present!" Looking confused Tsunade asked, "What present?"
The boy looked smugly at her and wagged his finger in her face. "Nope, since you were mean and hit me you don't get to know what I got you!" Tsunade's eye twitched as she blew her bangs out her face. "Why in the world would you get me anything Naruto?" This caused Naruto to look at her in surprise.
"Don't you know what day it is Baa-Chan?" He inquired. "Um, Sunday?" "You mean you don't know what holiday it is?" He looked perplexed. 'How can she not know what day it is?' He thought. "Holiday? No I don't, would you mind explaining what day it is Naruto?" Tsunade asked, agitated that he wouldn't tell her. 'This better not be another one of his oh so lovely pranks' Taking in a breath he quickly stated, " It's Mother's Day!"
Still confused, Tsunade looked at him and asked, "And what exactly does that have to do with me? I'm not a mother." Naruto smiled nervously and said, "But your the closest thing to a mother I have, so I thought I should get you something to show that I appreciate you caring about me." Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small white box with the words Happy Mother's Day! on it in red.
Shocked, Tsunade took the small box when he offered it to her and opened it to find a small necklace in the shape of a child. Taking in the details she noticed it was missing its left half. She looked up at Naruto sadly.. "See, I have the other half, its a mother, and when you put them together it looks like they're hugging." He explained, pointing to his chest. "Naruto, I had no idea you thought of me in such a way." Smiling at him, she went over and hugged him tightly. "Gah! Baa-Chan, I can't breath!" He yelled while trying to get out of her super-strengthed hug. Giggling, Tsunade released her hold on Naruto and went back to her desk. Smiling she thought, 'Looks like today just got better.'
